Year in Review, Updates, and Next Year's Roadmap
Added 2024-12-29 22:29:53 +0000 UTCHello! First and foremost, I wanted to thank all of you for the amazing year. I've been able to write a lot more full time, despite running into some speedbumps, and I'm very optimistic that I'll be able to continue this for a long time. I've had some problems with Amazon towards the end of the year, but that's hopefully resolved. 2025 is going to be a big year, as it's my first full year as a full-time author, and I've got high hopes.
As a part of this, I'm going to be changing the price of some of the tiers starting in the new year. Ed is going to jump from 3 USD to 5 USD, Ikki is going to jump from 5 USD to 10 USD, and Orykson is going to jump from 10 USD to 15 USD.
Now, these changes will not effect anyone currently subscribed.
Anyone who is subscribed before the first will keep paying the same amount and getting the same benefits. I strongly believe in the idea of not punishing people who've helped me, and all of you have been amazing. All of you will continue to pay the current price you pay. But most authors have their 40 chapters ahead priced at 10 USD, and I've got to make bills, so I'm sorry to any newcomers. I'm at a weird point where I'm making enough to get by, but I often run into expenses that completely throw me off course.
Now, onto the fun stuff:
On Monday, chapters of The Third Portal will start posting, and assuming Amazon has fixed its issues, The Second Gate should release January 1st!
Book two of The Effaced will start posting in February, which means I'll be going back to the Monday - Saturday post schedule, or maybe Monday - Friday. We'll see if I can do three chapters a week, or if I need to stick to two
Book one of The Effaced will release on Amazon in June-ish, with The Third Gate releasing on Amazon sometime in August or September, and book two of The Effaced releasing on Amazon sometime in October or November.
The Druid series I plan to start once Mana Mirror wraps up. This is likely going to be some point in 2026, but I'm going to put it here.
This June, I'll be doing a big retrospective, and seeing if I'm still in the same spot I am now (Meeting my bills, but struggling), or if I've made progress towards being comfortable (maybe getting health insurance? That would be nice, even though market insurance sucks. Ah, America...). From there, I'll be deciding on a few things.
I might have to look at going back into a more standard career, at which point I'll drop the amount I'm posting and the costs.
If I'm okay, I'm going to look at launching a new series of some sort. What that is and what all it will entail is massively in flux. I have ideas for a post-post apocalyptic monster-tamer trilogy, a LITRPG serial, and stories in the world of Mana Mirror. Not sure!
Secret project! I've got some stuff in the works I can't talk about.
Short Story Compilation?
So, yeah. Thank you all for an awesome year!

Thank you! It wouldn't sit right with me to raise prices on people already supporting me. (And yeah, the US healthcare system sucks)
