I've mentioned this on Discord, but my original intention was for The First Gate to be book one, The Second Gate to be book two, and The Third Gate to be book three. Seeing as that would have caused the Second Gate to be 300,000 words long... I opted against that.
That's a long winded way to say, I originally intended this to pay off in roughly half a book's worth of waiting, maybe one book. Instead, it's been close to two books. Oops!
