Since there were more than ten votes for both a meme and a look at other projects, I went ahead and decided to do both. A parody chapter will be put up on April Fools, but in the meantime, here's an intro to a book that I... have no idea if I'll ever touch. It's a decent quality, though, and maybe some day.

But I already have way too many projects, lol, so don't expect it!

WARNING: This snippet is intended for a more mature audience than my usual fare. It's not super explicit, but there are fades to black and talk about that sort of thing, as well as power dynamics, abuse, and more.

It was written in no small part to help me process some of my own life through a very different lens, to explore a deeper look at other people, and after I went on a two week long binge into the history of Imperial China.

This is a sort of 'phase shifted' reality, so this version of the middle kingdom draws on elements of the Ming and Qing dynasties, in a reality where the Song dynasty didn't fragment and create the Yuan dynasty. It's full of all sorts of borrowed language and references, so I've included a variety of footnotes for your perusal.
