Last of the Year 2024

So

Workflow:

I decided to stay off until the 2nd january. Reason is, i would go back the 1st, but.. not sure i would be in state to do it. While i'm here tough bee working on some sketch for me, so expect a bit of stuff droping until then, just, not patreon or commissioned work.
Once it's done i'll work on comms and Reward and monthly, i'll try to swap between the 3 equaly, tend to go on a big project and do only that for a time, but sometimes feel a bit rushed, so alternating between thing could be fun!
And i aim for fun.

Owl House:

So, after Arcane, i was kinda starved for animation, i finished She-Ra, another artist had highly pushed me this way and i kinda never followed their advice. I had watched all 3 first seasons and half of the 4th one, so i got back on it, kinda liked the end. But yeah animation wise wasn't the best best..
Then Some of you told me "hey look at the Owl House" and i did...
and damn, after Arcane i didn't knew i would have an animated crush so fast.
First, the animation is... gorgeous. Even on least animated part, the show is good, but damn, when they use the budget for scene, it's GORGEOUS. The opening itself, i NEVER skipped it, the theme is cool, but, the animation is eye candy, that witch stick Fly sequence is fantastic!
What i loved also is, if they clearly go ALL IN for combat, they also use those big animation for more feeling induced scene. Dance Scene, Kissing scene, etc etc, it's great, really show that they wanted to make those stand out too.
Story wise.. damn the humour is 100% what i dig, slightly absurd, lot of puns, and slapstick humour. And it work.
The character are all lovable, really, and the ennemies.. you actually Hate them guts and for good reason. The main antagonist is a slipery shitty guy who is a master of manipulating peoples and Damn it make him so terrible and hateble. I mean, you know Why he do it, it's not illogical, but it's a big douchebag and damn you love hating him guts!
So .. what is the Owl House?
Quick plot: YOu follow Luz Noceda, live in Oregon, obsessed with a serie of book following a young Magician.. a bit too much fangirly actually, following an accident about a book review at school and some snakes, she get sent to a "normalization camp". On her way there she ll find a door to a magical realm... and in her own word "that is not the PG fantasy world i expected"
Place is literally the rotten body of a magic titan, settled by witches and demons alike, anything there ll try to scam or eat you, and often both. But here she could try to learn magic, so she ll stay under the tutelage of Eda, the Owl Lady, the most powerfull witch of the island!
2 seasons and 3 long episode make the whole show. It's hearthwarming, well animated, fun, and with a plot. Firt half first season is more to set the whole universe, and then it goes in, second 2 is more plot driven and last 3 episode are the (shortened cause Disney hate gay it seems) conclusion
Expect drawing out of this, actually as i write this i got a few sketches already on the way =3

End 2024.. the year Bilan?

2024 been a quite big year for me. The patreon reached new high, and it's actually allowing me to live decent for the first time in Years.. This last 3 month, i've been working nicely, not overworking, at my rythm, and yet made a quite decent pay for myself. They also had been ridled with health issues XD
I still got my insomnie poking me time to time, but it's getting better, slowly.
I noticed my own will changed a bit.. i want to draw stories. It's a desire that was already here but now it's.. more vivid.
I.. want to tell stories i made for myself for years. There ll be nsfw elements, but not only. And i dunno if all of you would be on board for it, but.. i remember this thing i have read once, that patreon isn't a "job" it's peoples helping you drawing what you want because they love it and want it too. And it's a thing i loose of sight over the years. So 2025 is the year i'll start drawing stories i wanna tell.
First one ll be a 40k one. It ll be flawed, for sure! First bigger longer project i got. I hope you'll like it, and once done.. i wanna start working on my golbin girls!
2024 is the year i learned to have fun and draw the thing i love once again
