If you haven't seen them, you should consider watching luke cage, jessica jones, iron fist and the punisher after daredevil. All the shows are interconnected in some way. There's also a crossover miniseries called the defenders starring all of them. It all expands upon hell's kitchen and this marvel show universe.

Daredevil and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out around the same time and it is said that the chemicals that made him blind and gave him his power is also the chemicals that dripped into the sewer to create the turtles because it was a truck that crashed carrying chemicals in both comics
