I'm gonna say I've seen dimple as an evil spirit through through but he was real one in this episode. My take on his end is that most likely the tree fully absorbed dimple but he used the last of his energy to overwhelm the being in the divine tree and took it over. Then he's either gonna really just drop it in the ocean or he's gonna float it off to space.
