What a great start to season 2! Sparky Sparky Boomman was what you were looking for. π they mysterious guy at the end you were absolutely right about being the guy from the end of βThe Gunslingerβ, kinda surprised you didnβt put it together yet who he is but that will come soon!! You may have seen episode 6 by the time you read this comment but just incase you havenβt I wonβt say anymore about him for now. Canβt wait for the next one!

2022-06-01 22:03:20 +0000 UTCThe Marshall is played by Timothy Olyphant, best known for HBO's "Deadwood" where he plays a deputy of an old west town and FX's "Justified" where he plays a US Marshall in modern day. He plays a lot of lawmen so his role here is sort of ironic. He's also in Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet, a comedy about a husband trying to cure his zombie wife. Yes it's a comedy about a zombie wife. It's a weird but fun show. I love the joke about the scary looking bartender shouting "The sandpeople are monsters!" That's gotta be a meta joke right? Cause yes, he does look like the jeepers creepers monster. As for the New Republic, it's the government that took over after the empire fell. Basically the rebels defeated the empire and then formed a democracy, so the rebels from the trilogy are now the government. The New Republic tries to do its best but their military is too small to police the entire galaxy, so criminal gangs and imperial remnants run wild during this time period. In episode 3 last season Mando referred to the New Republic as a "joke", because the New Republic doesn't do much to stop bad guys. Where the Empire told everyone what to do and took away freedom, the New Republic overcorrected and doesn't try to interfere much at all even when they should. Sorry for that long comment. Couldn't resist. This is such a fun episode.
