Added 2024-03-15 17:34:51 +0000 UTCThanks to Patreon's new restrictive, unspecific, ambiguous rules surrounding 18+ content and the fact that I don't feel like drawing out a consent statement for every artwork I produce for fictional characters, who are in fact objects, I will be closing my Patreon soon.
It's hard enough to post NSFW content online these days and given that Patreon was pretty much built by NSFW creators (as are most subscription-based art sites), this feels like a kick in the teeth. I don't even make the kind of content they're banning, but as the rules are very general and there's no creator recourse against them, they could decide my kbnz porn is now "noncon" because I don't have a consent statement for the fictional characters being depicted and ban my account anyway.
