October Release 1: River Cavern

Hi All!

I am back from vacation/honeymoon and today I bring you the River Cavern. I have included this as one of my "Random Encounters" scenes, something that can be modified quickly for use on the fly. Of course it can still be used for anything you see fit.

For this map I have made three version. The "Cave" version is just that - a basic cave system, a blank canvas if you will, for DMs to use as they see fit. "Lair" is meant as hideout of a group of humanoids. Flickering fires and bedrolls litter the map and bridges cross the river. Also, a set of wooden stairs climbs up the cliff face. Lastly, the "Overgrown" theme has the rooms of the cavern overgrown with moss and lush grasses, roots peaking through the rocks. Also a giant flower inhabits one room, perhaps a valuable component or carnivorous plant. This room also contains tiles for a poison cloud overlay.

All rooms come as separate tiles too, so that you can overlay them on the "Cave" version of the map to mix and match between the themes. All theme maps come in gridded and un-gridded variants for all three levels.

Foundry users have all variants available on one scene, switchable via toggle buttons as has become my usual practice. There are also toggles for the poison cloud tiles. Note that I have used the "Distortion" macro for the Token Magic FX module to animate both the water and poison cloud tiles. NOTE: The foundry module is now v10 only! If you are still on v9, the new module will not be compatible. All my dependent modules have been updated. Let me know if this is an issue for anyone. I didn't realize this when I started putting together this latest scene. Also, I am hoping on verifying everything works for v10 still - so please let me know if you find any issues.
