That makes sense. I was thinking more about how valuable John is in the fight and if he's gone, the boys are on their own to fight it. So it felt like a hail mary when he didn't even try anything else... but I guess maybe he knew there was no other way.

2026-02-03 20:43:43 +0000 UTCmaybe you're misunderstanding johns view on the cause, a bit i think . john is willing to sacrifice/trade his life to kill the demon yes...but he doesn't want his boys to die for the fight. it makes sense in that regard. he loves them too much. remember he never wanted them even going after this demon originally. all in all, john while imperfect and complicated ....was still a damn good man. spent his life saving ppl, hunting things. rip
