Community wisdom: Name that drama!

I received an email from a reader, MM, asking me for help to identify a Taiwanese drama that she'd watched in the past, and I'm coming up empty - most likely coz I haven't watched that many Taiwanese dramas, on the whole.
I was wondering if any of you would be able to identify the drama for her?
Here's what MM wrote:
"Hi,
I was reading about Taiwanese dramas on your site and thought you can help me figure out what drama this is.
Ok, I saw it 6 or 7 years ago on either Netflix or Hulu.
It's about a Taiwanese boy band, and they all live together in this house, or at least they did on the intro. So anyway, in the beginning of the show, a guy in the band is doing something for a school, and he's evaluating an audition to select a female dancer. Anyway, the woman auditioning is his ex from years ago, and they look at each other, and then... ARE THEY GOING TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN?
I cannot remember the name of this.
I remember the name of the band, it was something like "bau tang" or something that sounded rather similar to BTS, except it wasn't, clearly.
The guy said he was officially leaving the band and there was this big news deal about it.
If this sounds familiar at all, please tell me!"

That's an interesting idea, Beez.. I think the difficulty with a single post for such questions, is that it requires people to come back to the post, to check if there are new questions posted, which I feel like won't happen for most people. Although emailing the question to me is more inconvenient, my posting each question as a new post for people to weigh in on, would tend to get the most eyeballs, I'm thinking.. 🤔
2023-11-13 02:03:23 +0000 UTCI don't know the name of this drama but I've been meaning to suggest your adding a thread (a single thread) either here or on The Verdict Web site where people can ask this very type of question. So many times a scene will jump in my head and then I'm wracking my brain trying to remember which drama that I saw it in.

(on a curious note though - really surprised to see how invested people are in a drama they watched eons ago - I read up quickly on this drama and seems like it is not even popular in the international scene). hope MM gets to enjoy it finally.
