Comics evolution from 2014-2025
Added 2025-06-13 20:32:16 +0000 UTCDid this piece in-between animation scenes. It's a redraw and coloring of a 2014 comic page (also attached). I was just starting to feel good about working digital in 2014. Man, I really liked the OG page and still do! A lot of the older comics have this kinetic energy that I work to keep in all my art. When I redraw the pages I aim to keep the original shot as much as reasonable. My thinking is if anyone was a fan of the original they might only want an update versus me completely redoing and reformatting the work.
So a lot of this work is stuff that rolls right back into the animations, believe it or not! Many techniques I used to make comics are now being used for the animations and vice versa. It's all part of the process and THANKS TO YOU!
