The Water Cooler: May 2023
Added 2023-05-01 00:10:00 +0000 UTCI love how you guys enjoy hanging out here, in this Water Cooler corner!
Thanks to MC for the suggestion, CICUKate for seconding the suggestion, and thanks to j3ffc, for the inspiration behind the Water Cooler moniker. π
Basically, the Water Cooler is where we can post random things that we'd like to share with everyone here.
So, we'd use the Deep dive for spoilers, Spoiler-free zone for non-spoilery drama chats, and the Water Cooler, for everything else. Like your favorite takeaway Korean fried chicken, or a link to a photo of the amazing cookies that you baked. π
Please enjoy.

Princess Jasmine - omggg thatβs so nice of you. which day ticket is yours again? is it 17 or 18 june?
2023-05-30 14:33:25 +0000 UTCBringing this over from April's water cooler discussion on Suga-D concert in Singapore: To all the lovely folks who answered about Suga and gave loads of info on him - many thanks π. Unfortunately my cousin (for whom I spent an entire day to get the tickets π©) is not coming in June for the concert. She was supposed to fly in from India just for this but looks like she got some exam on June 18 and got cold feet and decided to concentrate on that for now instead of Suga. Once she told that in early May, I decided to use my "limited personal time" to check out Kim Nam Gil dramas instead of knowing more on Suga. Hence so far what I know of him is limited to what you guys have shared here π’. On a positive note, someone I personally know from Ji Chang Wook fan club is coming all the way from Germany (and is a crazy Suga fan) and hence I gave the ticket to her for free and I will meet her on that day to catch up/ help her get into the concert stadium. Looks like her friends are joining in from Australia for the next day concert. I am still in two-minds on whether I should accompany her but ideally I want some ARMY person to go with her instead of me as I know how much they love this. I myself was down a week before as I couldn't get Coldplay tickets for Jakarta concert in Nov and hence I know this FEEL. So that's the update for now. And if anyone in Singapore is looking for a free ticket - let me know and I am happy to give it.

2023-05-30 13:38:13 +0000 UTCFor Martina: I finally managed to watch "Through the Darkness" and many thanks for recommending this. I found the drama very insightful and is in my Top 10 list already (but ironically given the nature of crimes committed in the drama, I ideally wish that this story had never happened to start with). Having said that, purely as a drama, it was done well and everyone acted brilliantly including the bad guys. Also since I had read criminal law, it was interesting to watch the work done by the other side (forensics, detectives, police). It's a bit strange as I had this drama in my mind for more than a year but didn't know who Kim Nam Gil was up until this April. And then suddenly in April I was so smitten by his work in the Fiery Priest and started watching his other works and then this drama. So I guess I had to watch this drama only after becoming fully aware of him. But having said that, the trophy goes to Jin Seon-Kyu as the Forensics Chief. From the outset, he caught my eye and kept at it until the very end. In fact he was the focal point around which everything evolved and I could even go on to say that he and KNG were OTP in that sense. Also kudos to the actors who acted as Heo Gil-pyo, Baek Jun-sik and Ms. Yoon Tae-goo. I actually wanted to post some follow-up questions on the story to know your views/perspective and I will do so in June. Thanks once again for this one π.
