Our year-end guest post project: details & guidelines!

Thanks also, for weighing in and confirming that a more relaxed and flexible approach this year would be very welcome - I'm in full agreement!

As we've talked about briefly so far, our goal is to keep thing flexible, so that you can beef up or streamline as much as feels right to you, to suit the drama year that you've had. 😄

Introduction: 

Do begin by saying something about yourself, like how you got inducted into the Kdrama world, the shows you tend to like, etc, because there may be new readers who haven't gotten to know you yet.

1.  Your top drama picks of 2022 

This can be Top 10, Top 5, Top 3, it's completely up to you to decide what works for your drama year. 

This will also include your drama of the year, your #1. 

2.  Best Actor (include show)

Your pick may be either male or female, since "actor" is technically a gender-neutral term.

If you wish, you can split it up to include Best Actor and Best Actress

3. Best OTP (include show)

If you can't choose between two OTPs, feel free to have a tie. 

4. Best supporting actor (optional)

Again, you can pick either an actor or actress, or you can split it up into Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, if you like.

Also, you can skip this section, if you don't have anyone in mind.

5. Razzie Award

Basically for the worst show or the show that promised so much but delivered so little.

Unlike last year, where you could only pick one, this time, feel free to pick 1, 3, 5 or however many you need, in order to fully release your drama grievances. 😁

6. Any additional special awards

I thought this would be a helpful one to include, because some of you might have a particular passion for music, or have a show that you want to give special attention to.

So, you might include something like Best Original Score or Best Original Song in this section, or you might include something like Best Hidden Gem. 

In other words, it's up to you, and your creativity, to create an award that suits what you want to express.

* I hope this is a framework that you find easy and flexible to work with!

* You don't have to limit yourself to Korean dramas; Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, and any other Asian dramas count too!

Logistics

I think the easiest way to get your posts to me, is for you to email your posts to me (to kfangurl@gmail.com).

Please have your post in Word format, with your screenshots or other pictures as attachments to your email. 

You can indicate in your Word document, where the various screenshots should appear. 

I will then assemble the post, based on your Word document. Does that make sense?

YouTube links: You can just copy and paste those into your Word document; once I pop it into a draft on WordPress, it'll automatically embed the video into your post!

Schedule

Elaine made a great suggestion, that we should allow ourselves to spread out these posts, and not feel like everything needs to be published by 31 December 2022.

I like her idea of putting out 2 guest posts a week, and letting that unfold into January.

With that in mind, here are some dates that you guys can volunteer for!

Note: these are the dates when the posts would go live on the main blog, so your posts would need to be finalized before that. 

I suggest sending your final draft to me 3 days before the post goes live, so that we have time to get it properly sorted and ready to go.
