Teaser for upcoming drama "Cheer Up"
Added 2022-09-11 01:00:03 +0000 UTCWell, this is slightly confusing, because we've already had a drama called Cheer Up, back in 2015, and it was also about cheerleading. π Maybe now folks will have to start referring to that one by its other title Sassy Go Go, to distinguish between the two?
Anyway. This cheer squad story is set in a university and not in high school, so that's already something different from 2015's Cheer Up.
It sounds like an underdog sort of story, because the squad is described in the synopsis as a once-leading cheer squad.
Han Ji Hyun and Bae In Hyuk will star, with Lee Eun Saem, Kim Hyun Jin, Lee Min Jae and Jang Gyu Ri in supporting roles.
I do like a sports underdog story when done well, so I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. AND, at least it's not about lawyers or prosecutors, for a change? π
Show is 16 episodes, and will air from 3 October to 22 November on Mondays and Tuesdays on SBS. No word yet on which streaming platforms will carry this one.
