Love in Contract ep. 4 SPOILERS **************** Really liking this one quite a lot at this point. Very much appreciating the vibe between GKP and PMY; loved the whole concert-and-dinner-after scenario. Look forward to this developing at a slow but intense burn. ...except the 2ML--in addition to disliking him, he's now super-irritating me with his pirating the FL to dig him out of a hole (to be fair, the ML did the same thing on the fly at the concert, but he was technically not lying to introduce her as his wife (okay, okay, it was totally deceptive in spirit. Still)). Can we just not on the muddy love triangle guys? Oh, also, fairly impressed with how they are treating the gay best friend subplot, allowing him to be an actual human being with fraught family relationships. Will be more impressive still if they allow him an actual loveline somewhere, but that's probably a bridge too far. Although this is cable, not public broadcast, so... (hey, the is the 2ML protesting a little too vociferously that he's not gay? Maybe he's endgame for gay best friend??).

@Trent I started it bc I really liked them in Bossam but sadly quickly lost interest. Didn't feel connected to the characters at all

Good Job eps 11-12 (finale) SPOILERS ************** Oof. Made it through to the end, just through sheer bloody mindedness and judicious use of the FF. Sad to say that this one just took a nose-dive in quality and engaging story lines, after a somewhat promising first couple episodes. I'm sorry, I know there are a lot of Jung Il-woo fans out there, but although I thought he was fine in Bossam, I just had a really hard time being interested or into his character here. He just doesn't impress as either super-competent genius chaebol, or hot/good-looking dude. And I do like Yuri, but this role was just bland, did not give her much to work with. She was much better in Bossam, and even Breakup: A Week, which gave her more range and nuance to inhabit. Sad to say I just can't really recommend this one.
