My Unfamiliar Family ep 6 SPOILERS ******* I'm really enjoying this show and the family dynamics, how it shows the tug between sometimes really disliking and not knowing much about your family but also loving them in your own way and not being able to stay away. We're slowly piecing together parents' relationship and it seems Dad had quite a temper. At least there did seem to be a time when Mom really loved him, I was worried she married him out of convenience. Curious when it started falling apart though, probably his insecurities played a large part, and possible infidelity? I'm fascinated by Eun Joo and Eun Hee's relationship because they're so different and like strangers in some ways, but still know each other so well. Like the moment when Eun Hee makes some comments that she knew Eun Joo would have told her -- Eun Joo's face makes me wonder whether in that moment she had a sense of how her words could hurt. The whole encounter with Tae Hyung was pretty brutal. I feel like based on his conversation with Eun Hee though that he said all that so Eun Joo would make a clean break with him. He knew that she couldn't tolerate being made a fool of. But honestly how devastating it was to see normally cool Eun Joo crack. Like I'm sure the writer wanted, the boss seems like a charming romantic partner in some sense, but also the being slightly dodgy, and then apparently catfishing pretty much ruined the mood for me. I get that he's cute and they're physically attracted to each other and have the intellectual match going on, but that doesn't hold a candle to the look on her face when she saw Chan Hyuk. Ready for the characters to all start getting along. I really just want to see Eun Joo and Eun Hee on the same side, like imagine if they had been close and Eun Joo had ripped Eun Hee's ex to shreds.

@uyen -- I haven't intentionally abandoned it or anything, I just ended up de facto putting it on pause for a bit after the first episode. I got diverted into finishing One Spring Night, then the weekend shows hit (still not caught up on Why Her or Yumi); had to catch this week's Grapevine episodes; checked out Extra Atty Woo; also ended up checking out first couple eps of Dream of Splendor just today... It's a lot, is what I'm saying. Also, my ardor to rush through Money Heist honestly cooled a bit when I find out they were separating it into two blocks of 6 episodes each. C'mon, of you're going to do a binge model, just drop all the episodes at once.... But I will get to it, most likely reasonable soon-ish.

@Trent, not sure if you kept watching Money Heist? Money Heist Korea SPOILERS ******** The first ep felt different enough but as I kept watching, I remembered the big events so ended up speeding through the end. The unique aspect was the JEA, but it seems maybe part 2 will build more on this and the Professor's motivation. I was hoping for more background on the characters. It started off giving insight into Tokyo and her relationship to the ripple effects of the JEA, but didn't build as much as I thought it might. Other big differences from what I remember is Professor and Woo Jin's relationship -- Professor is more calculating (definitely had to look back and wonder, did I have a higher tolerance for assholes? but no, in LCDP, Professor and the negotiator meet after, instead of having dated for two months. still calculating because he knows who she is, but somehow seems slightly less devious). Park Hae Soo and the slight backstory made Berlin seem more humanized to me -- Pedro Alonso is still in my head as Berlin but his character felt more dangerous, awful, yet interesting the way he played it. Didn't love Rio and Nairobi as much. It is odd to have the Part 2 drop later, but I guess they wanted to leave a cliffhanger.
