@Uyen - YAY you are joining the Yumi Cells bandwagon! This will be fun to read your notes before we dive into Season 2!!! Right, the cells are SUPER cute :) Do keep us posted about your Yumi Journey, please :)

Yumi's Cells ep 2 SPOILERS ************ better late than never, just in time for season 2. I love that I AM YUMI'S CELLS, our reacts are one and the same - who knew how cute they'd be. I really like the scene when Yumi and Woong meet where the music stops w his headphones, the OST plays and then he looks up and it stops for a beat and then goes into the chorus and he's just staring at her. Very nicely done. Poor Woong, you sweet soul wrecking your own blind date πŸ˜‚

MLN Finale SPOILERS **** ----------------- I'm a little in denial that it's over and am pretty sad having to say goodbye to the characters, thinking of a rewatch toΒ see what I missed in the first run. Definitely got emotional seeing the siblings walking in Sanpo again. I am in the camp of loving this show a lot for how it showed the boredom, the pain, and the messiness of just being human. I also loved the music a lot in how it was used in some of the scenes,Β I like Deeply and My Spring the most. The ending wasn't the neatly bow-tied up happily ever after, but gave as much closure as I expected. Chang Hee still talks a little too much for everyone else around him and is still drifting. Gi Jeong is still impulsive in the things she does and says. Mi Jeong still holds back her thoughts. But Chang Hee finds something that just seems to be the right fit for him, that gives him some career independence, and things are open ended with Hyeon Ah. Gi Jeong found her love and isn't afraid to admit it (I love the call back to the pick up girl monologue). Mi Jeong lets go of her resentment and finds something good coming her way. At the beginning I thought there'd a big turnaround where the siblings get super close and affectionate, but that's really not the case because their love is more subtle like in ep 14. I actually like that.Β  I agree that Gu's arc seems the most out there. I'm not complaining too much because I loved Son Seok Gu's expressions and gestures for the role, and I thought he was an interesting contrast to the siblings, having the independence and city life they dreamed up that was not all that great as it seemed. I saw the end implying him deciding to leave behind his work and perhaps start to address his alcoholism, from the way he picked stares at his bottles, picks up the coin, and leaves the bottle on the street. But it's also a rosy view because will the chairman actually let him leave? Has his drinking been romanticized a bit?Β  At the end of the day, the thing I'm most left with is that you may not be 100%, fully liberated, but just take things one step at a time. I have faith that Liberation Club is going to do just fine. That's 2/2 of Park Hae Young dramas for me! I've heard mixed things about Another Oh Hae Young, but I'm curious to try it out.Β

My Liberation Notes Finale Spoilers __________________________________ Spoiler Alert - Avert your eyes KFG :-) ___________________________________________ Ok, someone needs to explain the ending to me please :) This one never grabbed me as it did everyone else. I am glad I joined in though and watched all of you enjoy the Show so much. I did end up loving some of the music so much I will be searching for the OST and seeing which songs were my favorite. I think what threw me the most is when the reveal of Gu being the nightclub manager that storyline and believability really went South for me. That just didnt work for me so much and I think the Show spent too much time on him when the Show, at least, was more about the Siblings for me. Everyone gave a fine performance for sure as I have said before. And I think the ending was sprinkled with Hope and Happiness which is always a bonus for me :)
