Teaser for upcoming tvN drama Twenty Five, Twenty One
Added 2022-01-21 02:28:52 +0000 UTCI've got my eye on this show, because I like the idea of it, and the Spring palette looks very, very pretty. Also, I like both leads. I feel like Nam Joo Hyuk's grown nicely as an actor, and while I wasn't into Mr. Sunshine like everyone else, I did like Kim Tae Ri very well in the movie Little Forest (which is really quite lovely, if you haven't seen it!)
I've seen comparisons made, of this show's teasers, to the vibe of Start-up.. which would mean different things to different people. Most people LOVED Start-up, so that comparison would be a positive one. I was.. just ok, with Start-up (at best), so I'm feeling rather cautious about that comparison. 😅
I'm hoping that this will be a different beast altogether, despite the similar breezy tone and Spring palette. Also! This is by the same writer and PD team who did Search: WWW, which I really liked, so that's very promising!
The story is set in 1998, when our leads first meet, at ages 22 and 18 respectively. They then meet again at ages 25 and 21 (hence the title), which is when romance blooms.
Show will air on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 Feb to 3 April 2022, on tvN and Netflix.
