MC's doing a guest post for the main blog! (And you could too, if you'd like?)

Hey everyone,

MC has an idea for a guest post for the main blog, which I think is great, and I was wondering if anyone else would like to join MC, to make it into a mini series sort of a thing?

Here's what MC messaged me, last month:

hey fangirl i had an idea for a post that i could do, wanna see what you think about it -

basically not about my thoughts but more a community-thing where i would talk about the power of stories and invite people to share
- what was their gateway drama and why / what it meant to them
- what are their most memorable or favourite dramas and the stories behind it
- what are dramas or characters that spoke to them and again the stories behind it

like for me i would talk about how i got into kdramas (my mother in law lol) and shows that spoke to me - misaeng when i first started my current job (wow 2 years already!) my gateway dramas (dots lol). of course some are more superficial reasons “i love this actor” and that’s totally fine too. and invite people to something similar.

i personally love hearing peoples stories and i thought maybe it might be a nice community thing to do!

A mini series?

I was thinking that if you all liked the idea, perhaps some of you might be interested to share your stories too?

There's no minimum length; just write what feels right to you, as I told MC. 

As with the year-end guest post series, I'll be on hand to proofread and edit where necessary, while keeping it as close to your voice as possible. You would send me your text and images via email, with text in a Word document and images as attachments, and I'd put your post together from there.

If you guys are not up for this, that's perfectly fine too; then we'd have MC's guest post as a standalone guest post, kinda like how Elaine's doing a standalone guest post next month, on the topic of doppelgängers, and Rita's planning to do a standalone guest post on her top wuxia dramas of all time (timeline to be confirmed).

Timeline

We're targeting to have MC's post up by the 16th or 18th of January. If you'd like to join her to make this into a mini series of posts, let me know, and we can figure out a suitable timeline for your post too - hopefully to post not too long after MC's post has gone live. 😃

PS: The idea that we discussed, of having a guest post series in Feb, on "Favorite love stories" in honor of Valentine's Day, is still very much a go, if you all are game for it!
