What you have here is the 2023 version of a comic I first drew in 2003. Growth Lab 4 was originally released on Yahoo Groups if I recall correctly. At the time, it was my very best work to date and I was so proud of it. Coming back to these pages 20 years later there were a lot of happy surprises.

I know there are fans of the 2003 version. My goal with this one was to honor that by working to capture the same energy of the original panels while keeping the dialogue, pacing and layouts as close as possible. This was never meant to be a complete rework of Growth Lab 4.

So for all you original fans, here you go. For new friends and fans, enjoy the new redraw here. For everyone - I’ve also included the original 2003 version in case you want to check out how things changed or were a fan of the original!
