Here we are folks.

I hope each of you is happy and enjoying your day. If you day isn't so great, I hope your fortune changes soon.

We have an amazing world with many amazing people. The things we squabble about are nothing compared to the discoveries and accomplishments we achieved together. All of civilization, the world around us (warts and all) is possible only through the cooperation of countless people. That means something no matter how you look at it.

The video above is called "Pale Blue Dot" from an essay by Carl Sagan. I find it very inspiring since it shows perspective of where we sit in the cosmos and our possibilities. We've flown ships off Earth out of our Solar System towards other stars. We've photographed the surface of PLUTO! That's friggin bonkers! We have so much positive work ahead of us too.

It's easy to get down in the dumps when a stream of bad news hits but I ask you this. Head outside your place or look up from your phone. Make eye contact with ONE person and smile, maybe wave. I bet you nine times out of ten they will smile and wave back. That's who we are - that's the basis of our sameness. We are a good people. Mistakes are made but they get corrected. We might not always see the correction but it does happen.

I love you all, I want YOU to create your amazing works of art. Make your comics, your movies and write your stories. Doesn't need to be of the erotic variety either. Do what you love!
