2020.08.27 Quick Update from Ready, what's on the way!

We have a ton of new people here on the Patreon and I wanted to thank you ALL of you - the new friends and the returning ones! What a journey we have happening right now! 

I like to do a refresher on the Patreon every now and then to explain what's happening and what I see coming down the road. A lot of this is a heads up on new events and I think you will be excited with all the news.

WHAT YOUR MONEY gets you

I know I've said this before but you’re supporting my effort to bring YOU transformation art and animation. I don’t gate my Patreon offerings and yes that means someone can come in for ONE month and get all the animations or rewards we have and then leave. I think you understand it’s not just about the prizes and rewards though. You are supporting the time and effort I put into all my work. Your support gets you MORE stuff like color animations, more art and much higher production. I am trusting everyone to understand how support and cooperation gets all of us a win. Look at our history to see how we've been working together. Patrons across the board are getting more than ever and that is THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT!

You are part of the TEAM here. It’s not just me hammering away. To me this is more than a store where you drop in, grab your groceries and leave. I want to bring you more and maybe even inspire a few of you to be your OWN creators!

We're building a community here. Some people can GENEROUSLY afford to stay on month after month and some people come in occasionally. I get it. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to have low funds or be reluctant to support something you normally get for free on the internet. (and we all know getting to see boobies on the internet is an image search away)

I appreciate all the people who are putting down their hard-earned coin month after month. I want to bring EVERYONE all the value I can for your trust in me. I only ask you aren’t out there pirating or sharing the paid work from the Patreon. I know it will happen from time to time but seriously, I have so much free art for anyone to see. There is no need to ‘free sample’ the Patreon offerings when you can basically see a huge sample of my work for free on deviantArt or my Main Site (or even my Twitter).

All right – let’s move onto some of the haps…

Yes, Yearly Subscriptions will be added

I will be turning this one on as soon as the current Patreon billing cycle of August is complete. That means around September 5th or so. The discount will work out to one month free for all tiers. Roughly speaking - sign up for a year, get a month free. I don't have much more info than this at the moment. Patreon recently implemented this feature and it's a little clunky. At the moment it's sort of an all-encompassing discount and I can't tune it too much. What I will do is set it to give you approximately one month free across the board and across all levels. 

Some (minor) adjustments to the Patreon

I am considering adding new goals to the Patreon. If you notice we hit our most recent goal and I’m carefully considering what might be an appropriate next goal. Rest assured I will broadcast any ideas in advance. In the meanwhile, I might temporarily remove the goal widget from the front page. That doesn't mean anything is going away though!

To be clear - the most recent goal was to add in color animations and that is what we have been doing for a while. One of the oft thought about goals has been voice work and that was considered a goal at one point BUT it was bundled with color animations AND a higher dollar amount. Around the middle of 2019 I decided to split the color animation off and give it to you before we hit the goal. My feeling is I wanted to show you I was capable of the work BEFORE you put more money down. Of course, once we went color we got more friends in here but we still weren’t quite at the old voice work goal amount. 

Long story short, I split up the color animation goal, pulled out the voice over work, then lowered the goal amount - which we did hit. Effectively you got your present (color animations) early and didn’t have to pay as much as advertised.

The next step is to look at what other goals I can REASONABLY and DOABLY hit. Voice work is still on the list but my main concern is I would need coordination help with getting it done well. Again, there are a MILLION ways to do something like this but I want to keep the animation minutes high(er) and bring you as much transformation art as I can. 

A (possible) One-Off Comic Special with shading (see image post)

If you see the image on this post you will notice it’s all nice and shaded and quite unlike most of my open line comic work. After Solstice completed his story with Luna’s first outbreak from the FlightPlan comic I thought about doing a one-off comic with shading like you see above.

Let’s be clear, there is NO TIMETABLE for this at the moment. The animations and weekly comics are my main goal each month and this is more of a fun side project. Still, I think there are a few people who might be interested (well, maybe one) and YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Hahahah!

The above is merely a test drawing and an idea. It’s not an indication of what comic or subject I would do. For me I would have to be doing something I am REALLY interested in to take on the project. I have something in mind but suggestions are welcome. I do reserve the right to select the subject matter myself of course.
