2020.08.25 General Question/Poll for all: Yearly Subscriptions on Patreon

So, it looks like Patreon.com is in the process of rolling out the ability for Yearly Subscriptions. I got the notification the other day about it and wanted to ask everyone here what they GENERALLY THINK. No commitment is necessary, I'm mostly curious about who MIGHT be interested if I did offer it via Patreon.com.
A few QUICK answers from what I gathered doing research.
- If you were to add an annual plan you would be pro-rated for any plan you currently had. Basically if you subbed for a month you would be credited and that amount would be deducted from your initial charge. (you don't lose any money)
- I would offer a DISCOUNT to those who pledge for a year at at time. I don't have the exact amount set but you would be saving money overall.
- GENERALLY speaking I would expect the people thinking of this to be familiar with my work or CLEARLY in support of my art and animation for the long term.
- If anyone is unsure or wondering if it's worth it OR if your old pal Ready can deliver then just look at the last few years here on Patreon. I have never missed a scheduled update. I have hit all my own deadlines and most of the time I come in early. I post a LOT and I look to deliver MORE than you pay for. (as to whether you PERSONALLY like the offerings and art is another matter entirely! haha)
- As I understand it - EVERY TIER WOULD get a discount.
- At the moment I don't have any extra rewards planned OTHER than the monetary discount for signing up for 12 months at once
- I'll keep you posted with more details as I know them but the above covers most of the basics

It's a great idea. I want to be clear that anything like art rewards I take very seriously in the sense I do not want to over promise on things. With extra art, my immediate concern is being able to reasonably fulfill the rewards. Again - this isn't saying it's IMPOSSIBLE, it's only saying that I am cautious about adding in things like that casually. Thanks for the idea though and I will certainly think about it!

2020-08-25 14:50:33 +0000 UTCWell that's really interesting 😊 I have something in mind, it's just an idea I want to share 😊 In my opinion it could be very nice to have an artistic reward option for a 12 month membership, like instead of the discount (or with a smaller discount) the subscribers of this tier would be rewarded by artwork(s) of their choices, kinda like you did when you asked to discribe a character with 20 or 30 words (I don't remember exactly 😅) I don't know how it could work, I mean how many artworks or what kind of artworks it would be, but I think it would be a very nice way to "thank us" for a longtime support 😊 Once again it's just my opinion, but I wanted to share it in case it gives you ideas 😊
