What kept you watching?

Just regarding the recent post y’all, this is a question I asked towards the end of the video:

What is it that got you interested in the channel, and why have you kept watching?

I’ve always been / always will be curious about how you guys managed to find this corner of the internet and stick around here, so let me know if you’d like!

There’s no specific answer I’m looking for and they can be as complicated or as simple as you want them to be, but I think it’s always really cool to see how people found this community 🥹

More good vibes coming soon with some Shippuden and tripleS tomorrow (provided I’m not melting), so I’ll see you guys then! Happy commenting! 🥹❤️

Found you through Ado reactions and liked it, been a while ago didnt watch much reactions since until S2 of Solo Leveling, that when I found you again.

Hmmm..... what got me interested.....? Either GP999 or Queendom 2, i can't remember. I DO remember watching your reactions to both, however I'm not 100% sure if i watched your GP999 reactions AFTER Queendom 2 aired. I guess my membership stats would reveal that 🤣 i had enjoyed your YouTube reactions before that and wanted to watch along to a couple shows with you. I think my favorite reactions are the end of year live stages (or any live stages, honestly), kpop variety, kpop survival shows, and kdramas. I watched The Glory along side you, what a show that was ❤️ What has kept me here are the vibes. You consistently present positivity and aren't "a hater" and i really like that. I can't stand the "negativity/hate channels" on YouTube. Anyway, i have and will always enjoy what you put out for content. I'm looking forward to your Signal catchup, since the upcoming ones are premium TripleS content! Although, that's most of them, sooooo..... 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ also looking forward to your video essays! I really enjoyed the Brave Girls one (as a FEARLESS) and am stoked for a TripleS one. Also, might i suggest a LOONA/Loossemble/ARTMS one??? After the comeback, of course, since it looks..... well no spoilers, but.... new AND nostalgic? As always, you're amazing as both a creator and human. 렄 파이팅!!!

I know you know this already but I'm always vibing with you, sir 🫡 I love how we watch the same anime (and sometimes, drama!). There are also times I tend to check what you're currently watching and so I check those out too because I know we kinda have the same taste. 🫶🏻

I first randomly came across your YouTube channel and joined your Patreon for the K-pop content. What made me stay were the Monsta X videos you were doing at the time. Through those and also the Kdrama reactions, I really came to appreciate the chill vibes of your content and the additional insights you can provide

Ragla_

Well when I first got into kpop and started watching reaction videos a lot i would come across your videos alot and loved your style of reacting and how nice your community is and the anime reactions was a plus and too why i kept watching i feel i share alot of similarities in the way we think about things In terms of kpop and anime and your content became a lil safe place for me when some type drama happens or when i want good vibes yanno really appreciate everything you do I’m not one to really talk on the internet in general but from human to human just glad to support you man ❤️💯

I found you on YouTube through K-Pop Reactions, and since you like the majority of groups I like and I also liked the way you were reacting, I ended up watching you a lot. Also the fact that you do speak korean and japanese also differentiates you from other reactors. It's always nice catching some stuff because of that cause it otherwise would have gotten lost in the translation. But back then you were only one of many reactors I watched. This changed with GP999. The commentary videos and streams you did with Kaya etc. was content that I really enjoyed at the time, since it was something I could listen to easily while working from home, and that's basically what brought me to Discord and Patreon. I also watch some of your twitch streams, but since I always do stuff while you're live, I'm always lurking xD What also made me stay is the community! Even though I don't ineract a lot, the vibe of this community is just fantastic. And not to forget, since I'm watching OnePiece since 2002, I always wanted to rewatch the episodes, but never did it until you started watching. So thanks for that I guess ^^

I like that you understand Korean and Japanese, so that you can give us more context, you can pick up on some little details other reactors couldn't and it makes it more interesting for me. I came to the Patreon for k-pop at first. but stayed for k-dramas and anime :) I just enjoy that you take all the shows seriously and can get invested in the story instead of just "reacting".

PanDi

I found you through Kpop around 3-4 years now . Specifically your Loona reactions! I stuck around because I love watching your reactions/ commentary to Kpop in general back then. Now I’ve just been a fan of your anime and kdrama reactions! ❤️

Yaoma

I came here by accident from YouTube very recently, but definitely decided to stick around because of a couple of things: 1) Your reactions do not feel performative/fan service as in, you're not just saying things fans of specific content will like 2) Related to no. 1, but applicable elsewhere - Honesty 3) Insightfulness 4) Dedication 5) "yapping" ... I love the yapping :) That is to name a few. It certainly helps that I've agreed and nodded to most of the comments you've made along the way on different things, so I will be taking your choices as recommendations, as well.

Lola

I first joined for Monsta X, I had waited for a long time for you to get to them. I try to find other stuff you film that interests me because I would like to continue supporting. Last content I've watched of yours was Light Shop and When The Phone Rings reactions, I can usually find a kdrama that you're watching interests me as well. Anime-wise I am following Solo Leveling with you bcs I would've never watched that by myself, I've already read the novel and the manhwa. Other than that for animes your current lineup is not very interesting for me and that's all good as long as you're enjoying what you're watching. Finally I am getting into tripleS these days, I will actually be seeing them in Montreal in couple weeks, I am having fun watching your signal reactions. I also tend to rewatch stuff that I like over and over again sooo yeah, I might have watched your Monsta X - Shape of Love album reaction a dozen times lol

Oyku T.

First subscribed because of Monsta X content & then stayed for dramas/anime. I rarely rewatch things on my own but I really enjoy rewatching over here. Sometimes I‘m able to look at things from a different point of view, notice things I missed earlier and most of all I appreciate your insight, thoughts & perspective as well (and wild theories lol). I also found shows here I probably wouldn’t have started on my own & now I really enjoy them. And more than anything I just enjoy the vibes ☺️

Nika

First your reactions to Mamamoo on Youtube, second your reaction to Itaewon Class. Thank you for them :)

Diana Light

Dramas first and how you react to them. I like deep reactions and you give that.

September

your anime reactions! i love watching them with you and hear you thoughts along the way ❤️

tokkipcy

I believe I first found you for Kpop survival show or an anime you started, I don’t quite remember. But what kept me staying is the variety of things you react to, as you give such good commentary and perspective that makes it feel like I’m watching for the first time again. I mainly watch anime reactions (miss MHA 🥲 my fav) but also dramas if it catches my eye. Your excitement and hype is really contagious, and you just have this overall feel-good vibe about you that makes watching and listening to you feel like a warm blanket, like family/friends you can enjoy shows with, and not feel too alone.

Terese

I was watching your Youtube reactions ro kpop mv's and over the time I began watching the cutted kdrama reactions. I enjoy watching the stuff I like with people idk why it just makes me happy. So I decided sub here on patreon I wanted the full length reaction. Now I still watch ur kdrama reactions and anime reactions. I like that you explain your thoughts and theories but also explain a bit of language and Easter eggs with that and most importantly the humor and that it feels like a little family over here. (Eng isn't my first language so please excuse errors)

Leonie

I don’t remember the specific video that got me watching but the first that stood out greatly to me was the Btob MV marathon. I enjoyed all the survival show reactions on the channel like (boys planet, kingdom, road to kingdom) and watched some kdramas but now I stick around for the anime reactions. But I’ve been here through thick and thin at the old Patreon then the website then back here haha.

Jared Williams

i joined because of your kdrama reactions

Ceyda Nur

I just woke up, articulating my thoughts is hard without having my first coffee of the day XD

RisingSunbebe

Actually, I think I lied about the main reason - content is still important and I enjoy it greatly - along with your thoughts about certain topics, which I feel like people appreciate a lot (as they should). But yeah, you're not just another reactor whose content I watch because of the community you built that I feel I'm a part of.

RisingSunbebe

I'll be brief, because I think you know this. Monsta X videos (or marathon) was how I started, later on stayed for mainly anime (at least nowadays it feels like I mainly watch anime with you). I think the main reason I stayed is not the content, but the fam and the way we vibe as a community. I miss the streams (because I'm usually busy or away or sleeping) 'cause sometimes I miss talking to you guys - we always have cool talks. Not to mention that we have similar tastes so that's always fun to share stuff with people who get you.

RisingSunbebe

I joined because I became a fan of LE SSERAFIM last year and enjoyed your reactions on YouTube. I was never into Kpop so it was cool to get the reactions of someone who knew so much about them and their past, which eventually led me to IZ*ONE. I also enjoyed how passionate you were about these groups. That’s why it’s slightly disappointing to see you not giving LSF as much love recently, but I respect your decisions and will always be grateful for the volume of content from them you have covered in the past, it was a cool experience for someone like me who was starting from 0.

Juno

It's the kdramas for me!

Lady Claire

I love how you do Kpop and Music Reactions. I'm not interested in much of other types of content. But you're FANTASTIC when you do reactions.

Fredrick

I saw you on YouTube your bts marathon reaction! Loved it and subscribed to patreon! Love the reactions very funny and informative! Love the series and movie reaction and of course all the bts content! Hope to see more in the future! Language i would definitely love to learn Korean!💜 Thank you for all your hard work

Tammy

As I mentioned in my previous comment, I came for the Korean show-related reactions, enjoyed the vibes alot, and then I browsed through your collections and noticed that you have Japanese content too, so you got my attention fully 😆 What made me decide to sub as a patreon was that you are familiar with Korean and Japanese language and culture! It might seem insignificant to you but for me it's very important because sometimes it gets frustrating (to me) when reactors misread/misunderstand the content due to the subtitle quality. I was pleasantly surprised that you are able to capture nuances in words being used sometimes, so as someone who understands Japanese (and a fair bit of Korean) it makes me really happy to see someone understanding the content as intended. When I watch reaction videos, I look for reactors who actually know what they are talking about (not just the language, but also stuff like insight or analysis for lyrics, dance, video production, etc.) and not just reactions like "AyoOOOooO that's lit af", if you catch my drift LOL 😂 Also, I really like it that you come across as genuine and only choose to react to content that you like, and respectfully refuse any suggestions that you are not interested in. That way I know what I'm watching is a review/reaction from someone who really enjoys these content (and not just hyping stuff up to cater to fans). Oh and on that note, I remember you were talking about if you should make videos of yourself talking about how you like certain shows (like DBZ) that really isn't an in-depth review/analysis. Personally I really like those because it gives me the push to read or watch certain series that I've been putting in the backburner due to various reasons haha, but I can see why people don't like it since it can be mostly fluff (its basically the reason why I don't like reaction videos that literally only give superficial reactions with no insights lol) 😅 Thanks for taking your time reading through these comments! I'm new here but still glad to know that you are taking better care of yourself for the past year or so. Cheers and looking forward to whatever plans you have for 2025!

rainicity

I've been watching since Girls Planet 999! Stuck around because I enjoy listening to you yap, and was exited for upcoming anime and BTS reactions 😂

Rebekah Rosella

Originally I’m a hard-core melody I signed up for BTOB, but I stayed for the vibes. To be honest I’m not a multifan—I just don’t have the time for that lol. But every now and then I watch some random stuff on your channel just for fun. And sometimes I’ll catch a K-drama with you—it’s always more fun to watch with others, you know! Anyway, that’s it. Hope you’re having a good day—or maybe a good night (?) not sure, it’s sunrise where I am right now lol.

Rora

I came for Monsta X content and stayed for dramas and anime. I also initially stayed around because I like your community here and being apart of twitch streams but I got rid of most my socials last year, including twitch. So now currently, I find that it's more companionship. I enjoy watching the shows and animes that I know my partner doesn't like, with someone. Here it just feels like watching along with what feels like a friend.

TuffyMBB

I first found you on YouTube. It was your deep dive into Monsta X and really enjoyed your reactions because you would actually pause and talk about the parts you enjoyed and then would re-listen to some of it and then give your personal opinion on it as a whole. I love reactors that do that. I would continue watching YouTube then I came to patreon for the exclusive stuff. Sorry to say you were my 2nd reactor to follow (Musa was 1st Lol) I then started watching your K-dramas, anime, variety shows, etc. I truly enjoyed how genuine you are and felt your content was worth paying a subscription for. I was watching some of your content more than say Netflix or something lol Followed you to your LKTV webpage and then followed you back over to patreon, it was a Fun journey haha I used to never comment either, I always felt like a lurker, but you helped with that because you interact with everyone and show your appreciation and it's not some fake love for more people to subscribe to you. Hope you know how appreciated you are and keep up the wonderful job of being a great person! Excited for what 2025 will bring!! 💛🫶

Solitary Shrimp

Like I said I first found you while looking up yoasobi idol song reactions. I liked your personality and the way you spoke Japanese in ur greetings. I thought that was awesome and refreshing in a reactor. Then I got into Kpop thru le Sserafim in 2023. I looked up reactions and saw u again. So then I went down a lok rabbit hole because thru u I got introduced to izone and got to see produce 48 without having to look it up. Safe to say is ur personality is what got me to stay. And why I check out other things thru you. Through you I got to learn a bit more on Korean and Japanese cultures with ur experiences and helpful explanations on each culture. Which I find more refreshing than just reading it on google. Cuzz I do feel like if you ever do want to retire from this. You would be an excellent teacher lol. You explain stuff very well and simple for all of us to understand on certain topics. I also appreciate your interactions with us even if we just lurk or active in the community. This has gotten too long lol. 😂 take care man and i appreciate your time to film for us.

Parawolf89

The reason I stick around for specific creators is generally just that I vibe with the personality of the person. Plus for some creators such as yourself I like hearing your thoughts and opinions on the things you react to. I personally enjoy hearing other people's perspectives and opinions on things I like :)

First found the channel because I was trying to find anyone that reacted to tripleS content. Found your backlog of all the shows you've seen, watched through a few (HMLYCP is golden, as is Hotel del Luna), and then stuck around. There are three things that I really like about the way you do things. First is the respect you have about Korean/Japanese language and culture. It's not overblown (you call a spade a spade when it comes to the shortfalls) but it's obvious that you know what you're talking about. It's nice to know that you know what dialects are, or gestures, or the honorifics, or even the historical bits. There aren't many western content creators with that skill, if at all. Second is the fact that you only react to what you like. In the beginning, it was a bit strange and it took some getting used to, but I like the fact that I know what I can expect from you and not expect from you. In fact, it's the fact that you don't react to everything that sets you apart form those that have such a wide net. It's like if something is cool/good enough to be reviewed/reacted to by Lok, it might be worth my time, too. That's neat. Finally, it's about the community and the vibes. Everyone is chill, nobody is mean about liking/not liking things (playful chiding/poking aside), and the biggest goal is to just have a good time and chill. There's history which led to the way that things are being run, sure, but the end product is somewhere that's very friendly in general. I think I found this channel at the perfect time - it's changed the way I take in content (I'm a lot more selective now and don't feel bad if I miss things from groups that I don't care about as much) or entertainment in general, and that's been so much healthier than before when I was so paranoid about missing stuff. Cheers!
