Korean / Japanese Language Learning Content π§β
Added 2025-01-14 22:36:43 +0000 UTCHey guys!
You might remember a few posts about this in the past where I've dabbled with ideas of this and that, and unlike previous occasions, I'm considering (a little more seriously) the possibility of starting to share more as far as teaching Korean & or Japanese and their cultures.
Maybe some of you might remember, but there was a period in late 2024 where I did a mini-series on TikTok and YouTube shorts called "Korean with K-Pop". It was kind of like a "word of the day" thing, and it seemed like it was something that could be useful to a lot of people. If you'd like to check out an example, click here!
Unfortunately for me at that time, I burnt out on reactions and couldn't keep up with anything that I was doing and so ultimately had to drop it, but I've been wanting to get back for some time. As you all likely know, I have a lot of interests, but helping people especially with learning brings me a great amount of fulfilment and I'd like to explore this a lot more. I do a lot in the reactions already which is what makes them so fun for me, but I'd love to know if anyone would be seriously interested in watching content where they can learn more about Korean & / or Japanese.
Let me know down below! The poll is multiple choice βΊοΈ
Hope you're all staying well too π«°π₯Ή

As a Korean-American adoptee, i haven't learned much Korean, so learning more would be great! I can read/write Hangul, however i always have to look up definitions and don't know sentence structure, so big fail lol. Anyway, a couple video lessons/pointers would be fun, i think π

2025-01-19 21:52:48 +0000 UTCHi Lok, new subscriber here! Joined for your reactions to Goblin and some Korean survival shows, but I'm pleasantly surprised to see that you also react to Japanese content! In general I just really like your vibe and inputs from what I've seen, because it's so hard to find an English-speaking reactor who is actually familiar with Korean (and Japanese) haha. For this particular topic I'd be more interested to watch Korean language learning content as I've been picking up the language casually while watching variety shows, etc. over the years, but I also love to watch any Japanese language-related stuff (a bit of TMI: I work as a Ja>En translator) because I love to yap about linguistics and the language as long as there are like-minded people around haha xD

2025-01-15 01:24:44 +0000 UTCLet's gooooo, looks like I need to take learning JP and KR seriously now. I already know almost all the Korean characters and after almost 20 months of Duolingo learning JP I'm still struggling in Kanji lol. Those 20 months is just casual learning though. Take 2-3 lessons a day, then done.

2025-01-15 01:07:06 +0000 UTCI've been learning Chinese for 4 years or so now, and I find the transition between Mandarin and Japanese difficult because of the use of Kanji.... BUT THAT WONT KEEP ME FROM TRYING! You know me, I've been behind this idea from the start :)

2025-01-15 01:03:48 +0000 UTCI know I would be interested in learning both. Now as I gotten older I told myself I should have took some classes in Japanese classes when I was in school. I was always around people who spoke japanese or knew a little bit but was never interested till now. I voted for both. I think I know a bit more of japanese than korean but wouldn't mind learning more.

2025-01-15 00:01:18 +0000 UTCI've been slowly learning Japanese since I was young as my mum is Japanese but I was never fluent because I've always lived in England so there was never a need for it, but I've recently thought about moving to Japan at some point in the future and have been trying to learn more to become fluent, so extra content on that would be awesome. I've also been interested in learning Korean since becoming a fan of K-pop music, as I've slowly picked up bits from songs and K-dramas. So I'd love and watch any videos you'd make for either/both languages :)

2025-01-14 23:29:20 +0000 UTCA few years ago I took some lessons and than stopped. Now I have been learning a little bit everyday for about a year. I can understand a lot and lately have been making progress at reading and writing.
