When The Phone Rings - Post Ep. 9 Theory

This is a little disjointed and rushed because I just HAD to get my thoughts out once I'd come back from a workout but in conclusion: I'm suuuuuuuuuuuus as fuck

When The Phone Rings - Post Ep. 9 Theory

I haven't rewatched the episode since I edited it but I thought they spoke about our Sa-eon because I remember him saying "사언 대변인" which would be Spokesperson Saeon. So that's either a lie or we're fabricating things a bit or like you said yeah I could've just been hearing what I wanted to hear and they meant his Dad haha. I'm kind of with you on the mum theory too! She seems to have just found out and is now acting erratically because she was regularly drinking looking at those old photos of him too. Also on the 3rd point you raised, I think so too for real. I don't think he'd just relinquish control like that either. Sooooooo many things to unravel!

Coming before watching episode 10 because episode 9 left me with a lot of questions. Regarding the heterochromia, I think some issues arise from how that line was introduced (at least for us who don't know any Korean). I am not sure who he is referring to - our Sa-eon or the father. I'm more inclined to think that it is the father in this case... Because with that, he seems to be pushing Hee-joo into the direction of genetics, to help her understand that if the father had heterochromia, the son (real Sa-eon) inherited that from him. Hee-joo seems to understand that this is the case, that the kidnapper is the son who was replaced. Plenty other confusing things, though... Did Mom think the son was dead and only recently learned that he isn't? Does Dad know at all or he too thinks that he is dead, too? I don't think Mom is the mastermind either. As you pointed out, she would want to protect him, and having him do everything he's been doing is dangerous. But then, who is the kidnapper referring to when saying 'Master'? Can it be Park? How would the two of them find each other without someone else? I can buy into the theory of Park being mislead by the real Sa-eon, but would real Sa-eon just relinquish control (even if he's pretending) and follow someone else's orders and instructions willingly? Is there a third person involved at all?

Post run/storm theory videos are the best. I still think the mom is the mastermind but I think the wrench in the plan was learning that the son is alive. She remained cool/calm and collected UNTIL the description came out and that’s when she realized he was still alive and she started unraveling . I think Do Jae was working with the real Sa-eon not knowing the truth. When Mr. Min told Hee-Jon about the heterchromia he was letting her know it was a genetic trait and that the father had already fixed his own. I’m in love with this drama you would think all these tropes would be overwhelming but the writing and acting make it work.

Love the absolutely needed quick theory video while still wet because of the storm lmao I am writing my thoughts right before watching episode 10 so I might be totally clowned in an hour but I think Do Jae thinks our Sa-eon is the one who killed his twin brother and that's why he joined forces with kidnapper Sa-eon to get revenge. That's pretty much my theory since we suspect him to have pushed Hee Joo and the twin was first brought up in the plot. As you said chairman Hong is the only remaining one who could be involved, the mom desperately wanted a confirmation her son was alive and see him, so she's cleared. About the Hong family, I think the son witnessed the real Sa-eon doing a crime and grandpa planned the car accident, reason why chairman Hong had a free will contract to ask whatever he wants and stopped the investigation. Or it could be only kidnapper Sa-eon and Do Jae since the beginning and he tricked Do Jae. But again, I've been so wrong about the mom theory lmao
