Ayo, your perspective and Korean know-how has ALWAYS been a reason why I watch shows with you. Brand new, and especially rewatches, you always come in clutch with the extra/different context! THE CLIFF! I'm SO glad it happened this early! There's nothing more frustrating than stuff like that being dragged out. But extra glad I don't have to wait for the next episodes. So excited!

Biological father and his mother also don’t get along too so I wonder whether or not he’s like a child to a different woman and she’s using him as bait to try and destroy his father’s election campaign or something? Or it could be more than that! And very true on the text message 🥸 Yeah I think the kidnapper is their real son but maybe the grandfather ordered that he be replaced because having a crazy son or someone who was “unstable” would affect their family’s career and status. For high profile families in these dramas they’re notorious for hiding illegitimate children or kids with mental illness as to not appear “weak”, so it’s possible that if the kidnapper was the real son, he could’ve been violent, disobedient and not a “good look”, so he was discarded, now making him blame Sa-eon and want to get back at the family 🧐

2024-12-06 22:35:30 +0000 UTCI'm literally in love with the ost! The way it complements the drama's mysterious atmosphere is pure perfection. And the drama itself? I'm so invested! Four episodes in and I'm already rooting for the characters. The storyline is unfolding in such a great way, and I'm loving the themes they're exploring. And the last scene maaan.. definitely can't wait for the next episode

Theory time: Just thinking about how He-Jo was kidnapped right after having dinner with her, if I was a kidnapper I would plan something on a regular path like coming back from home. If the kidnapping was planned on something unscheduled like a dinner with the mom, it means they might have prepared this. Second hint, how they showed the kidnapper texting someone right after she saw the explosion at the office. I think Sa-eon isn't their real son, they had a son who died or was replaced. Maybe the kidnapper is the son (hint with the fish, but it's small). I just don't understand the motive yet but she's my number 1 suspect.

The equal amount of obsession/affection between our leads all to often there is an imbalance between the affection 2. I think the harshness he had in the marriage to her was about protecting her from the secret of who he is because she is his weakness and he would go on a rampage for her like his mom said in episode 2 3. I agree with you about the kidnapper and the fish, initially I would discard the possibility if the kidnapper didn’t know who Hee-Jo was already I’m loving this show so much and I can’t wait for more episodes to see which of my theories are crazy and which might have some validity.
