Kishimoto might have just a cool little ninja anime about feelings and friendship to some people, but this is simple, complex, political, existential and fucking hilarious all at the same time. How the hell does that happen?

On the surface, Naruto may be an anime where many only think of the power of friendship, however, both Pain's backstory, HIS sense of "justice" and his views (same as with Itachi and all the stuff back then) show that the anime goes so much deeper. It's actually so nuanced and can be applied to real life in many aspects. I can't think of a villain that is so "relatable" and written so well that I totally understand where he's coming from. I love your thoughts on these topics and it makes me think a lot more aswell. It's just fun to think about all the things Pain says. Please never stop yappening. It makes your reactions very authentic and genuine. Also Naruto as a character has come so far, not only in terms of his powers but also as a human being.
