"Lok, why no MHA or Demon Slayer lately?"

Hey y'all,

Thought I'd make a quick one just because I've seen a few different comments recently about these two animes and why we haven't kept up, and I wanted to talk about DS earlier but any time I had the mind to make a post, it slipped my mind until the recent season.

Well, unfortunately the reason these two aren't back is due to spoilers. As to not spoil those who haven't seen them yet, I won't disclose the nature of WHAT I got spoiled on. To be a little vague though, I've been spoiled on the manga ending for Demon Slayer and unavoidably so for some content last season that I wasn't caught up on, and for MHA I've been spoiled on some big stuff in a season we still haven't watched which had really deflated me and left me pretty salty.

Where? How?

Well DS was spoiled last season by a few reactors I don't know putting everything in the title / thumbnails of their videos. Not their fault but subtlety wasn't on the cards so we love that, and then in a horrible twist of fate (lmao), I detest YouTube shorts because they're ass compared to say instagram imo, but because i watch reviews on the Chainsaw Man manga and some others that I'm reading, YouTube had decided to recommend me a short in the scroll feed which had the ending of Demon Slayer blasted across the screen and before I had time to move away, the damage was done lmao. This happened a few months ago.

For MHA, I'm still fairly fresh with this shit unfortunately and it's got me salty as (but we move), but I was spoiled on stuff relating to two characters who I really like, one even that we're watching in the current arc, which...naturally makes me pretty :---) about continuing right now haha. Reactions again the culprit during my Frieren viewing as I was uploading and also looking at fellow reactors' takes on Frieren after I'd done my own, but YouTube unfortunately recommended me the shit I don't want to see lmao.

So why aren't we watching?

Welp, I could pretend I don't know but I'm not about to do that at all because I literally just can not and I'm just kind of salty and need some time to like...remember that I can still look forward to stuff and appreciate things if that makes sense.

Demon Slayer was an anime I started off screen during COVID and LOVED / was really invested in with the Discord community, so hearing about the end of it when I didn't want to know kind of fkn sucks lmao, and for MHA, this was lowkey my super chill fun watch but I'm invested in and really enjoy the characters, so unwanted information also makes the current arc a bit more difficult for me to feel as immersed in currently. Idk, if you've been spoiled on stuff before and you care about that stuff, then you'll get it.

We WILL be getting back to them and spoilers are sometimes unavoidable so it is what it is and I don't hold anyone directly accountable, but it certainly made me want to just take a step back for a bit and come back when I feel like I'm ready.

Don't watch anime, manga or drama reactions on YouTube because you'll get fkn rekt I guess. Oh, and fk YouTube Shorts lmao
