JUNE 2024 WATCHLIST

Hey guys! I'll keep it brief (edit: this is not brief but who cares lmao), but here's our watchlist for June!

PLEASE read what's below as it'll likely answer any content related questions arising from this watchlist specifically.

🔴 Series' that are labeled "FINISHING" 🔴

Left to right:

• tripleS Badge War is now approaching it's 3rd episode out of 4 (?) at least as far as I'm aware. This means about halfway through the month it'll come to an end, when it will be replaced by SIGNALs again. I am aware that Yooyeon and Chaeyeon recently guested on an Eunchae's Star Diary episode. We will be checking that out at some point 🥹

• Bleach TYBW unfortunately only has 6 episodes left and I say unfortunately because I've seriously never been sadder about catching up to a series! I might go 2 episodes each week for 3 weeks, or might just go 3 episodes each week for 2 weeks, but either way it'll be finishing up over here before the end of June 😭 Hunter x Hunter will be coming in to fill Bleach's spot for the time being just while I figure out some stuff ahead of the new anime drops in late June / July. More on this in a few paragraphs (🟡 section) Bleach Beach episode might feature one of these weeks!

• Lovely Runner will also be finishing up over here this month! I'm honestly really excited to see how this drama pans out just because it is probably the best romcom I think I've seen in a hot minute. I'm putting it up there with the likes of Crash Landing On You. There, I said it! Anyway, we only have 8 episodes left to go, and these could drop in pairs once a week, or multiple times during a week. Either way, it'll be wrapped up this month, so hope you guys can look forward to vibing out to that with me! 🎆

🟠 Series' that we're continuing: updates 🟠

Left to right:

• For IOTNBO, funnily enough, we're not far from knocking this one out! I've had a BLAST with these episodes (as I'm sure you know lmao), and after Lovely Runner is done, I might just power through and see where we wind up. This MIGHT finish this month, or it might not. Either way, I'm enjoying it, and it'll be coming to an end soon, so I hope we can still talk about it in the comments and stuff!

• Gear 4 was an insane time, and what's even more insane is that we're moving to a space where I can actually start thinking "Dressrosa is almost...over...?" As it stands now we have about 20-ish episodes to go and I'm sure they're going to go really fast as we're at the tail end of things, so we might be looking at 4-5 episodes a week instead of strictly just 4 for One Piece. Looking forward to the journey!

• Shippuden: We are moving smooooothly right now with some big hype on my end ahead. I'm honestly so grateful there have been practically NO SPOILERS for Shippuden thus far, and I'm excited to check out the next few arcs this month. We're well into the 100's at this point too, which is kind of bamboozling me a bit, but it is what it is. Good (?) news though - I'm currently READING Naruto for the first time with the manga too in order to make videos for YouTube, so hopefully you can look forward to those.

• SIGNAL / Earth Arcade / I-LAND 2: Signals are plugging along well but we've been enjoying Badge War too much lmao. Looking forward to getting back though! Earth Arcade will be continuing thankfully this month! I saw the new series they've been putting up on Na PD's YouTube channel, so looking forward to those too eventually! I-Land 2 doesn't air again for a while, but when we eventually get back to seeing perfs / evals dropping, we'll be filming for it again. I've loved "watching" this show this way!

🟡 Stuff coming back to the watchlist! 🟡

I wont say too much here just because some of it I don't know when it'll be up etc., but while I've got you here:

• The Live Stage Marathon will be returning for this month with a pretty big lineup of performances from a bunch of different artists. The list will be more concrete on the day that I make it, but right now we've got the likes of IVE, aespa, NewJeans, XG, tripleS (OT24), Kep1er, Loossemble, ARTMS, ZB1, Yves, Chuu, ATEEZ + more!

• Hunter x Hunter (technically returning) this will be exciting to get back to. I've wanted to put the time aside for it but things haven't worked out this last 2 months or so. Thankfully I feel like these were the right choices though because I don't want to be rushing somewhere or preoccupied or sick or something while trying to watch, so all is well! This will be returning at 3 eps / week in it's own 'slot'. When some of the weekly animes start up we might put that to 2 eps, but we'll see how we go! Either way, I'm just glad to have this consistently here and not as a "if I can, I'll get to it".

• For weekly animes, what we'll be looking at picking up will be Tower of God S2 and Oshi No Ko S2 when they come. Tower of God S1 I've watched recently and for the first time when it aired back in 2020, and Oshi No Ko we watched over here. I'm excited for these, but don't want to stack them and get crazy overwhelmed at any point. So I'll be aiming to keep on top of the weekly eps and not let them stack, and as mentioned in the previous note, might drop HxH to 2 eps or something instead of 3-4 if need be.

🟢 Other stuff worth knowing! 🟢

I've really enjoyed this way of structuring things over here from May! I know its a little vague-er than previously, but most of you guys seem to be happy and vibing, and for me it works a treat because some days I have all the energy in the world, and others I'm being distracted by this that and the other non-stop haha.

I'm starting to work towards making some video essays / commentary videos for the channel now too, so my time management and routine is being sorted out in the meantime. This way of filming and posting helps me GREATLY with that, so thanks for being so understanding! I've got a video on tripleS I'm currently writing right now, and also considering doing a Lovely Runner video essay as well too once we've finished that. Keep an eye out!

Thanks to this as well, for the last month I've finally been able to dive back in to studying Korean a lot more and furthering my knowledge. I wanted to actively keep on top of this for like the past year but filming videos at the rate we were took so much time and energy that I'd never EVER be in the mindset to be like "woo lets study for 2 hours every day now!". At some point it's a dream of mine to exclusively make more language / cultural related content too, but that's a while away. In the meantime, it feels good to know that I'm making progress on something I'm passionate about besides content haha.

Just wanted to also add that this is NOT all of the content we'll be doing as far as K-Pop especially is concerned. There will be album listens, there might be extra bits and pieces of stuff. Just in case anyone was wondering!
