I said much of my piece in the video so I really REALLY always appreciate you letting me know in the comments what you think, and man, I’m just so glad that it’s an experience we can share together. I’m also so invested in the fact that we both, and I’m sure along with many others have such similar views in terms of how we think about media, let alone Bleach. That’s something I NEVER expected to have at all, so thank you so much for that! As for the Byakuya comment, without it sounding too much like (oh, we think the same!)…I think the same LMAO. I think the same people would likely have also in turn complained about the fact that Rukia never truly got that love and acknowledgement from her older brother, and him dying like that without ever having anything more to develop actually would’ve been somewhat contradictory to the entire setup of his character for me for the whole show. For me I’ve always seen Byakuya as someone who keeps things incredibly close to his chest because of his upbringing, and thus a little awkward to communicate with. He doesn’t know how to reach out to Rukia and tell her what he needs to at times, and we see that really early. Typical “tough love” I guess you could say, but it’s never misdirected. That said too though, he’s an incredibly strong person who has always been proud of his strength and his power, but has respected it and the path of how long it took him to get to where he is, and I think it’s this part that I really would’ve had an issue with. It’s because of that persistence to move forward and work harder (albeit I’m sure mostly out of sight too), killing him off would’ve seemed so weird for me. We KNOW the Stern Ritter / Quincies are strong based on how they invaded, and Genryusai dying was enough of a blow to be like “oh fuck this shit is like SERIOUS serious hey?” that I don’t think Byakuya’s death would’ve meant anything and people would’ve probably called it pointless and counted him as ‘weak’. I think the revenge route you mention too would’ve been the typical Shonen revenge pipeline too and it was probably tempting for Kubo but I’m glad we avoided it. It would’ve tainted Rukia’s hard work to attain and understand all of this power on her own, especially considering the whole show makes an effort to point out early “lmao your family think you’re harmless”. So her suddenly attaining the power to defeat As Nodt for revenge would be such a waste lmao. “Oh she got SUPER MAD and that was the source of the power!” Mhm ok lmao. As it was anyway she had a fucking awesome arc and she still doesn’t even fully understand / control over her newly acquired bankai (Byakuya even instructing her how to properly thaw out at the end), so she has more room to grow in our minds, and Byakuya has had this brother / Shinigami equal story FINALLY developed which I think was dope. All of that to say that people can disagree on it which is valid I think for sure, but things went this way for a reason and they make more sense to me than if they went the other! Thanks for taking the time to comment all the time and show the love and everything my man. This means the world and make my week a whole lot brighter. It’s people like you and comments like this that bring me incredibly joy and I’m just so lucky that we get to bond over Bleach together. Big love to you man! 🥹❤️

Just thoughts on #2 yeah for sure, I’m not sure exactly how I explained it but it’s always been for me that Shinigami do “guide Hollows” to the Soul Society, but this effectively ends their existence as hollows in doing so as they become souls who can exist in the soul society etc. that’s probably why I used the world “kill” if ever but yeah I know that Quincy actually like exterminate exterminate them at the like atomic level, whereas Shinigami in bringing them to the soul society essential are just changing their state of being, the same way that when those humans in the world of living “die”, they transition instead of being fundamentally destroyed. Just wanted to say that in case I was cooked and confused anyone! Haha 🥹 Appreciate you watching!

Ichigo and his friends, Quincy, shinigami). That's one more reason for Quincy to have the inner need to kill hollows (kill to don't get killed). 2. Shinigami don't kill hollows, as the hollows are "purified" and go to Soul Society as souls or re-enter in the cycle of life somehow. Quincy permanently destroy these hollow souls. 3. Ironic: Hisagi was angry with his captain, Kensei, last eps. whey he commented about Tousen; in fact Kansey had all the rights to blame Tousen, as he was betrayed by his own former Lt. (Tousen) over 100 yrs ago. 4. True facts: magic/ spells/ the power of words or names. Even here: shinigami learn spells saying incantations, after the advance with spells w/o incantation, but the strongest are the spells done by highly skilled shinigami with full incantation (see the last fight Aizen vs Ichigo: kido Hado 90 with full incantation) :)

You got insanely impatient lol I 1000% agreed with what you said in the last 15-20Mins, people who like things have a very black and white view of other people and their opinions where it feels like if you don't like their media in the way they want then you're not a true fan or you don't like it as much as you say you do and I think we all fall into this trap in one way or another. But we have to recognise that people aren't black and white, and how we feel about things are as unique as we are as people and that can be hard to relate to, especially with opposing opinions. I also have a similar view of media to you where the things I like and appreciate are in a 'hall of fame' so to speak. Like I appreciate things objectively and subjectively; by how much quality it has and also how much I vibe with it. There's a difference between "Best" and "Favourite" if you know what I mean. I can't decide on a ranking of what I like so I just end up with a list of things I like and a list of things I appreciate for their quality that exist in this 'hall of fame' without any order. I also relate to what you said about Bleach, where you appreciate it for all of it's flaws and qualities. I just can't help but love this series, not because it's the best thing ever made but because it's a series that I've become so attached to. It's an indescribable feeling that fills your heart as you experience. And if I could erase a part of memory of a series, even the smallest amount, it would be Bleach and even more specifically, episode 6 "The White Haze". My favourite episode in Bleach, hands down. Just Rukia's bankai alone was the most breathtaking thing I've seen in an anime. The details are insane, with the transparent sleeves and hair, to the shimmering sound effect paired with the OST. Absolute perfection. Speaking of this episode, here's a question: what did you think of Byakuya coming back? because there's a bit of a divide on whether he should have died in the first invasion or not since that's how it seemed it would go. The argument for it is that him dying would have "raised the stakes" and "given Rukia a better arc" where she takes revenge in her fight As Nodt. However, I disagree and think that her moment with Byakuya recognising her strength was the best way her arc could go and given how revenge is treated (looking at Tosen and Kommamura), it wouldn't have ended well for Rukia and I personally didn't want Rukia to go down that route. Just want to hear your thoughts on this. Anyway, I want to keep this short but I think I've typed enough already. This vid has raised my opinion of you at least double of what is was before. I think you are my favourite reactor and I love hearing your thoughts on everything. I think we as viewers do put a lot of expectation on reactors to react to things the way we want but as I said before, how we feel about things is as unique as we are as people and how everyone of us feels is equally valid. Be proud of who you are, as a creator and as a person, and I can't wait for the next one! (I'm sorry this is so long!)

If you go back and look at Aizen's betrayal when he was talking with Unahona and Asane. Asante described what Aizen showed them what his sword ability was. Based on description, he lied and told them the effect of Shinji's. So much disrespect.
