Added 2024-03-26 20:40:54 +0000 UTCNo matter what anyone tries to tell me, that MV was one of the worst things I've seen - YESSSS it was a stylistic choice and YESSSS I watched and caught Macaroni Cheese when it dropped. But to have the Posse Up Remix MV but then this for XXL? I don't know man - with YP releasing music as good as this, they need to not undercut it with a concept that they could get away with once and only once imo.
As for the album? Hohooooooo you'll just have to watch and find out!
If ILLIT's debut is #1 for me and NMIXX's comeback is #2, then this is easily #3 as far as albums are concerned this year!

Honestly I agree a lot about the visual aspect of YP. I need to say, it's hard to sell to me the 90s hip-hop concept visually when the members are so young. It didn't felt genuine but I get people who think it was fun to watch. I think the members are really talented and it's nice to have a real hip-hop concept in a girl group. Posse Up was dope and I think they are interesting enough to keep looking for their next comebacks

2024-03-27 22:12:14 +0000 UTCYeah perfectly understandable man - I just guess with the MV the thing it has is character and whilst the first one was a train wreck in itself I’d thought like “this is the concept and the mark they’re heading for to stand out so I get it”. Just didn’t expect it a second time around but yeah it’s just a nothing take because the music is way more important to me! And yeah tooooootally feel you with the music though. Their stuff is so god damn good and it’s just ILLIT and YP swimming around up there right now hahahaha

And the Young Posse Up MV was cool but nothing to write home about imo. To each their own though, I understand your take as well. This album overall though? chef's kiss. XXL and ROTY in particular haven't really left my mind until ILLIT turned up haha.
