I like how he pretends to be stupid but is actually competent, though it's overdone because the anime was stalling the pace a bit. His comedy was really bad except for a couple of moments. They could have easily wrapped it up in one episode really. I like the Soi Fon appreciation too :) I can't wait for the next few episodes! Loving the reactions!

A captain vs small fry adds no sense of danger. We know they aren't going to lose. I distinctly remember wanting the unhinged captain team (Kenpachi and Mayuri) to show up and just clap some fools.
