I thought it might be cool to see really quickly what you’re watching over here at the moment and what you might like to see in future 🧐
I don’t take requests and I never will anymore so we’ll keep it light, but I’m curious about your favourite animes and some you might like to see either return over here, or appear for the first time, even!
I’m locking in on the Big 3 right now as we all know, but I plan on finishing Blue Lock and another pending anime soon as well too, so in conjunction with what we’re already watching, we’ll tick some stuff of the current watch list.
The pivot back to MHA will probably start in December but as late as January, but I’d be interested to hear what you’re mainly watching here with me right now anime wise and what you’d be keen to see possibly in future!

I can highly recommend: Violet Evergarden, one of the most beautifuly animated shows ever; Anohana, very short (11 eps) but god damn no anime makes me cry more than this one; Konosuba, one of the funniest anime ever also has best girl Megumin; Made in Abyss, This show is mental, I cant really say anything about it without spoiling, incase you do ever watch it but this show surprised alot of people by how fucked up it can be. Also Aussie composer Kevin Penkin made one of the most goated osts for this show.

I also highly enjoyed the new Akuma-Kun sequel that released a couple days ago on Netflix. 12 episodes of great suspenseful horror. Gegege no Kitaro will also have a new movie Nov 17 called Kitaro Tanjou: Gegege no Nazo that will go all out in the horror (think it’ll be PG-13 they are def exploring the horror side further). Gegege no Kitaro and Akuma-Kun are both by Shigeru Mizuki and it’s their lore that make them true gems. Both the Akuma-Kun sequel and GGGnK movie is Japan’s way of celebrating Shigeru Mizuki his 100 Anniversary despite passing in 2015. There was a tribute to Mizuki, and even Kitaro from GGGnK in a way, in Akuma-Kun 2023 it hit hard it was cinema!

If you consider rewatching it, I personally would recommend the anime for seasons 1-3 and for season 4, we can read the manga here🫶🏻 Or, if we’re able to find the BD source of season 4 anime then that would work too but the pacing or the storyboard for this season is just not as good as the previous seasons imo.. Haikyuu movie is coming out next February as well, so it would be awesome if we get to rewatch it with you here and watch the movie together, definitely no rush tho💙

I’m so devastated that I’ve watched pretty much all of Overlord on my own before I started reacting, but the most recent season I haven’t checked, so I will have to check it out! 👀✊ and FMAB too! We only ever got 6 Eps in but I really loved that (K-Pop kind of took over when we’d just started doing anime here haha). Keen to see Solo Leveling and along with Blue Lock, Hell’s Paradise is another I want to cross off by the end of this year! And Konosuba ooh 👀🧐

I’ve actually also considered reading the manga here with you guys too, but not sure if you guys would vibe that or not? 🧐 Either way, Haikyuu is an eternal favourite of mine, it’s so fucking good!
