Good question. To be honest, I think the pointy ends probably don't feel too comfortable inside, but I do think I'll be utilizing their tails in other ways as the series moves on. As for the second question, male Impyr (that's the species they belong to) have shorter tails and slightly shorter ears than their female counterparts.

I've also noticed the guards have much shorter tails. Are they chosen for service because they have short tails or are they clipped?
