Added 2025-07-02 23:16:58 +0000 UTCOK, folks, I am very glad to announce that I have an new cover from Kart Studios for Book 1 of Source & Soul! Feast yer eyes!
They're already working on the cover for book 2 as well. As for book 1, the editing is a way bigger bear than I expected, so it's still going to take me some time to actually get the thing up on Amazon, but it's coming! I'll keep you all posted.
As you may notice on that cover, this is now the Treledyne Trilogy. The thing about trilogies is that they only have 3 books (sorry, Robert Jordan: it's true). So enjoy book 3 as it comes, because that's where I'm wrapping things up for Source & Soul for now. Which is not to say that I'm ditching our boys for good! I'm very hopeful that this series will gain longer legs once released on Amazon and I'll be able to justify writing more in this world. I've got a thousand stories to tell in this card-heavy setting, and I really hope to be able to tell them.
Please be reassured that the bulk of my time and attention are still on making book 3 the best I possibly can, and for those of you playing the card game in Tabletop Simulator, our regular tournaments, card releases, and balancing will continue.
But now you get the chance to do something fun and vote on what story you want to see next from Furious Scribe. I've spent a little time ginning up the first chapter of four very different stories, all of which I'd be very excited to tell, and I want to know which one speaks to you the most.
All of them are posted on Royal Road, since that site has a polling feature, so please check them out there and let me know what you think.
Again, I love Source & Soul and everything about it, from the characters to the world to the cards to the support that all of you have given me, which means so much. Book 3 isn't ending anytime soon, and I look forward to the rest of that journey together and then, if you're up for it, starting a new one.

Can all the ongoing conflicts actually be resolved? It feels that things like Gerard's rivalry with Hull, Basil's quest to become a just King, and Hull's Mom constantly scheming, is going to need more time to cook.

Then if the story with Hull and Basil continues they could deal with whatever frontier domain that the king had sent the army to deal with or something and that could be its own storyline or something. This world has a lot of room to grow. Also what good card game doesn’t change the setting to add new cards to the pool? Lol
