Hey friends and card fiends,

Here we are at the end of book 2. Thanks for sticking with me all this time! I wanted to throw out a couple of announcements in the wake of the book's ending.

I went straight from book 1 into book 2, and boy, do my bones feel it. I started posting Source & Soul 13 months ago, and I haven't missed a Tuesday or Saturday since, if I recall correctly. I love this story so much, and I'm all-in on book 3... but I need a bit of a break before I hop on it. The series is pausing for a short time; I'll start posting again in February. As of today I'm pausing the Patreon. You won't get charged during the pause; please stick around so you can get fresh chapters immediately once I start posting!

I won't just be sitting idle during the break; I'll continue chatting with folks and tuning things on the card game alpha. (If you missed that recent announcement, my apologies for burying it in the comments -- go jump on the Furious Scribe Discord and get gaming with the Source & Soul card game alpha test!) I'm also going to get edits and covers done for books 1 and 2 so I can put them up for sale on Amazon. If I don't force myself to do it now, I never will. I'll also be planning out and beginning to write book 3.

My deepest, sincerest thanks to those of you who have pitched in your hard-earned dollars -- and even more importantly, your comments, your theories, your reactions, your passion -- because you have kept me going. Basil and Hull are yours as much as they are mine, and I can't wait for you all to find out where they go from here. Happy holidays to all! I'll be back before February starts feeling too bleak.
