last but not least (but certainly the tiniest)
Added 2023-10-18 00:49:18 +0000 UTClast one of these shortstacky races, the Aein! they're only something i've been plotting recently, so not going to have as much info about these. here's what i got so far:
- very small! they average about 5 inches tall but are often smaller. there's supposedly no upper limit to how big they can get, just hasn't been observed yet
- they are the source and means to cast a kind of "magic" in the setting. Aein have the ability to manipulate energy and matter to some extent, becoming stronger if they gather in number or have a larger creature to help channel through. not every creature is capable of using the Aein, with special mention to the Sporin, who the Aein seem to actively avoid
- not really solid except for the small core in their chest and even that seems to be able to change form. their bodies are composed of whatever element they have the greatest affinity to and seems to follow the classic four elements of fire, earth, water, and wind. the core itself seems to be some kind of immense organic power source and is (predictably) the very core of their being
- while overall friendly, there's an air of mystery about them as they easily understand all forms of speech and writing, even "old world" and human languages. they don't communicate outside of gestures and touches with other creatures, but can communicate with other Aein near instantly through a series of flashes from their core. some feel like the Aein are even actively hiding information
- as can be expected from strange sprite things, they dont really have a home and just wander about wherever. they can be found all over the world but only really come out to people who can use their power

i want to keep building upon this weird little world i have going and i hope you all dont get sick of it along the way.
should come up with a name for it too. i've just been internally calling it Stacklands for the time being... maybe thats good enough for now though
