Happy New Year! + Updates and Plans for 2025

Happy New year! It's been an exciting year for sure, with it being the first real full year I've done art for! I don't think I could still be doing this if it wasn't for my patrons here, so I'm so incredibly grateful for all the support you guys are giving me! <3

I do admit that things have been slow here over the last year, that I haven't been able to meet the goals I had set in 2024, and that I don't want to just use this place as a dumping ground for my HD copies of my commissions... So I feel 2025 should be a fresh start for my patreon!

I've recently had a circumstantial change with the way that I'm gonna be doing commissions now, which will break the cycle of getting lost in commissions every month, and that the amount of them will decrease, which hopefully will mean much more time being able to be dedicated to doing the things both and I and you guys like, such as exploring my characters, their personalities, and most importantly... comics!

So what is the plan for my Patreon in 2025? 

• Comics!

  In January, I intend to be starting my first comic, only really a 5 or so NSFW introductory comic to the world and universe I want to explore with you guys, themed around Abby, who was always meant to be a mildly antagonistic side character in the Naomi-focused comic I had planned originally, but I feel due to her massive increase in popularity, and me coming to feel much more attached to her, she should be the one to headline these ideas! It's not going to straight up smut, but will feature a good amount of lewd material... just with a focus on worldbuilding too!

  I still have a few commissions I need to finish off, but once those are finished, I will be free to truly explore this with all of you guys, and I'd be interested to hear your feedback, not just on the comic quality, but the flow and the theme of it, as comics are only something I've tenuously attempted a few times. Cameo slots might even be available, but more on that later.

• More sketches/ Art in general

  I know this one seems vague, but I think something I've come to realize is that sketches being 1:1 with finished work (as in, if I sketch, it's with the intent of it being a finished piece at some point, be it a commission or a piece involving a character of mine, It's hurting my ability to grow as an artist, looking at things in this arbitrary way. Therefore- I intend to sketch much more frequently, things that might become full pieces, might not become full pieces, but just things to provide not only more content for my patreon, but also sharpen my skills than the frankly inconsistent and sparse sketches I do currently. I need to shake the notion that I can only draw if the art will be finished... as the whole point of a sketch is that it's sketch-y!

  Leading on from that, I want to adopt a quicker, more sketch-esque style to my art, at least for sketches, and smaller flat coloured pieces, and I expect as my skills increase, so will the quality and speed of these.

  I want to do fan art, of other artist's characters, and popular characters in the fandom, as well as draw my own characters in personable pieces, not essentially canon to the comic plans I have, but still in fun and lewd themes, but also maybe some SFW, but more personality-building pieces.

• Patreon Perks

  I want to provide more for all of my patrons, not just on the pure art front, but also to emphasise the importance you guys have to me, which is why I am still intending to keep the monthly sketch chances happening (which have been neglected for far too long), but also add in the options for voting on pieces, as well as patreon-only streams! These two items are something that I think will begin and evolve as this patreon grows in the amount of supporters it has, mostly to make the voting and chance feel more fair. Currently there's only really like 4-5 supporters who seem to ever apply and win, and I'd want it to be a more equal chance across all my supporters.

  I'd be more than happy to hear from everyone here what you feel could be done to add more weight to my patreon, and ensure you feel like I'm worth the support!

• Tier changes

  I'm planning to take a look at my current £1 tier, as currently it's serving more of a glorified tip box than anything else... I do want to maintain a similar function, but also offer at least a little something more for this, such as maybe sketches and WIPs?

  As mentioned previously, the possibility of cameos for when comics start rolling, I'm not sure what tier exactly this will be at, but I'll get a better idea as those begin!

  The HD and PSD tiers for the most part will stay the same, I guess just receiving more content in general, so those will stay as is most likely.

  I do want to make a further higher tier, I'm not sure what I can offer here, but maybe just as a super duper tier if you really love what's happening here! I'll continue to brainstorm what could be offered here, but I also welcome any suggestions on that!

  I'm also looking into how to change up the delivery of the art packs to my supporters, due to the possibility of leaks I've seen with a few other creators, so I'd maybe consider a monthly art dropbox place for each tier, with changing passwords every month, accessible from the tier specific welcome page? We'll have to see what happens there!

• Discord

  So currently my discord is a bit of a ghost town... which I do think is my own fault for not making it a very exciting place to talk. I need to start interacting there more often, and rework the channels some. I might reopen the discord to the public, but with supporter specific channels.

Those are mostly the changes that I feel need to be made in 2025, not just to make my Patreon feel more worthwhile to all of my supporters, but also for my own satisfaction that I'm providing a great service to everyone!

On a more personal note, I've gone through a few changes over the last year, I might of mentioned here that I got diagnosed with ADHD in September of 2024 (almost exclusively the inattentive type), and am now receiving medication for it, which has been a massive help. But I also know it's a mindset change, which is why I want to bring my focus more around to art, which is an improvement within myself I've been trying with discipline and willpower and whatnot. Deaths in the family, and trying to get to grips with life after so many years working 9-5 in an office have made 2024 a bit of a wild year, but I intend for 2025 to feel a lot more firmly planted, and I look forwards to exploring the year with all of you guys!
