Update on Polls

After this upcoming fan art poll, I'm expecting to take at least one month off the polls, maybe more. Wanted to let you folks know so you can update your tiers accordingly, if you don't want to stay in a higher tier (or any paid tier) without that.

As far as why, it's a mix of a few things. When I started doing polls I thought I could juggle doing those and a little bit of other art on the side, but I still haven't managed to do both. Basically, the time I don't spend on the poll art I spend on my non-Bad Noodle work/life, so I haven't been able to squeeze in commissions and OC art in that time (and I have one in-progress commission that I should have finished an embarrassingly long time ago). Another reason is that my patreon hasn't really managed to grow in a notable way these past five months (and maybe my expectations were too high for that). I'd hoped that fan art polls would be a nice thing to draw people in, especially once I had some examples out to show the effort I was putting in to the winners. I'm no patreon pro, so I don't really know how to build my audience better/faster and that was my best strategy for now, possibly just attempted too early for maximum effect. Hate for things to be about money, but as it stands I can still make more off a single commission than even a few months of patreon, so I've been kneecapping my art income to try to grow my patreon without really getting far. This is by no means meant to be a doom post, I'm not quitting or anything, I just want to try to balance things out a little better and give my OCs some more love. (and I might do polls related to my OC art, but that's obviously not the same)

From a more positive sounding angle I can say I've liked all the characters I've drawn for these so far, I'm happy with the art I made for them, I'm glad I've at least sort of managed to stay on schedule and put out one full piece with alts a month, and I'm not burnt out!
