Shelved WIPs and abandoned sketches, OCs, and haircuts

1) First up is a Frieren piece I started in January 2024. I shelved it to focus on commissions because I needed money, and sadly never got back to it, though I still intend to finish it and hope to get to it this year. I like how it looks and it's a bummer to have left it this long. It's based on a photo I really like from Poisonne's Wood Elf set (which might still be somewhere, but I managed to get it from Gumroad before The Purge).

2) Second pic is an Amazon OC I was starting to work on in 2022 apparently. I originally (and still) had way more OCs in mind, but once I got through my first handful, I kept wanting to draw them more (and better), so I never expanded past that line up. I've focused on higher quality pieces that take a long time vs lots of quick ones, so I can't have the many many OCs I want for now. This one will appear eventually though, it's important to have an OC with her...characteristics. To do things to the other OCs. Big, strong things.

3) Very rough sketch of Tifa and Aerith from 2020, immediately abandoned. Still characters I want to draw some day.

4, 5,6) These three were the initial concepts for what eventually became the pin up I did of Fellatrix's Valentina wearing jeans. I was a bit indecisive, and I think I ditched the first and third ideas because Fellatrix posted some similar angles/poses of those characters near then and I didn't want to do anything to similar for the sake of variety and not accidentally referencing too much. I'm sure I'll still draw OCs or something in that first pose some day, since it's a classic.

7,8) The very first sketch of Sherri I have saved, which I then cleaned up and colored. This was before she had her real name. I was calling her Hornee/Horni at this point as a joke with a friend, and I don't even think I was planning to make artist accounts yet or anything. I ended up changing her horns before the more final version of this set that I have posted, but mostly I just had no idea what I was doing, and didn't really think this would ever be art I'd post publicly for people. Now I can't imagine not having Sherri and my other horny gals, and I'm glad I changed Sherri's horns, even though drawing them is tough.

9) Concepts for another OC that never happened (yet?) from 2020. She was going to be a vampire.

10,11) A couple times I messed with the idea of a shorter haircut for Sherri in sketching commissions. I was going to do finished versions of the second one, but making lots of clean alts is so much trouble as it is that I never bothered adding that extra work. I do want to do a proper short haired Sherri one of these days though, it's a cute look.
