Exciting Changes Ahead!

When I first started this patron, I thought it would just be a little dumping ground for all my stuff that I could share with a few others.

However, thanks to your generous support, the fantastic chatter we've had on the discord, and the awesome feedback - it's time to take the Patreon to the next level.

So, what's changing?

Supporter Tier Upgrade!

The Supporter tier has been, up until now, a small way for you lovely folk to support me - but as this patreon grows and I put more work into my content, I want to make sure that I give back as much as I can.

Starting in May the supporter tier will give the following benefits:

• Exclusive Patreon Discord Channel Access - Nothing new there, but it's the tier that will specifically unlock it. At the beginning, there were some teething difficulties to get this to work. If you still don't have Patreon discord access, let me know, and I'll get that fixed for you.
• Polls - The bigger this Patreon gets - the more I'll need your input. I'll be asking the community what our next goals should be, which map idea to do next when I'm stuck, what themes the encounters should have, and more! This is a great way for everyone to get involved, and I look forward to interacting with you all more.
• News - Much like this post - you'll be the first to know of any changes to the Patreon, any new release on the DMsGuild, any new videos out, and any other information I'd like to share with you fab bunch!
• Youtube Scripts - I've already released a few, but going ahead I wanted to make sure that those of you who needed access to a script to my videos had it - and so this will be included in the supporter tier.
• Thank you - This might be the least important to you folks but it is the most important part of this tier to me. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that so many of you have joined and wished to support me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

A Change Of Pace

Because of the influx of support - it's very important to me to make sure that the quality of the content I make is consistently improving.

Therefore, I am looking to increase the number of Patreon-Focused maps I make to be three a month. 

Each of the base versions of these maps will still be free, and I will share them on Reddit and other platforms - but these maps will be in addition to the maps I make for DMsguild products and will be made with this community in mind.

New Additional Tiers

I want to give back to those that wish to support me with even more content. 

To make sure that I can afford to spend this extra time, there will be two new tiers added in May.

BARarbian Tier

This tier will include:

• Everything from the supporter tier and... 
• Map Variants - Each month two of the base maps I release will come with high quality variants, including the standard Night/Day, Gridded/Gridless Variants.
• Mini-Encounters - Each month, at least one of my maps will come with an encounter, so that you can use that map in your sessions with little-to-no prep needed.
• Access to ‘Map Vault’ - I plan on making a Master post with every map I have made listed there. Attached to that post will be a zip file including all the maps released at this tier, so whether you're new, or returning, you can access all the maps with just one click and download.

Raising the B.A.R. Tier

• Everything from the supporter and BARbarian tier and...
• Extra Map - Because of this tier, I can create a very special third map each month. This map will be different from the others because it will usually be larger, or have multiple tiers, or some other unique aspect to it that only those subscribed to this tier will get access to.
• Deluxe Variant - This tier will include the night/day and gridded/ungridded variant, as well as a deluxe variants of the map, such as different seasons, biomes, or levels of clutter.
• Extra Content - The special map will have a focus such as a custom mini-game, special encounter, piece of lore, or even other media such as music, that I will share exclusively to this tier.

Additional Goals

Finally - if that wasn't enough already - as we grow I plan on looking into and adding the following content to this Patreon (either as part of these tiers or new ones):

• More maps a month
• A Monthly Adventure
• Animated maps
• VTT Ready (Like lower resolution for Roll20, and dynamic lighting improved)
• Extra lore
• ‘Speed paint’ map making recording
• Creative process journal
• Area / region / world maps
• Monthly extra content such as plot hooks, rollable tables, etc.
• Collaborations
• Q&A Live Streams

The above goals are in no particular order, and are certainly not guaranteed - but I wanted to give you all in idea of the kind of things you can expect from Bonus Action Rainbow going forward.

Once we reach 50 patrons, I'll be sure to run a poll of which feature you'd most like to see next.
