Ukraine and the Immediate Future of the Channel

Hey everyone. I wanted to touch base with a few things about what's been going on recently and what things are going to be looking like in the immediate future. I have made an effort to maintain an element of privacy on the channel in regards to my family but as some may know, my wife and I have 3 kids that we adopted from Ukraine. As a matter of fact, I was there in the country when everything collapsed back in the winter of 2013 (if you watch the Netflix documentary "Winter on Fire", I was there for much of that). So obviously, we've got some deep ties to that country and have been pretty distressed by the recent events.

Long story short, it has been hard for me to sit back and watch all of this unfold. With having a great deal of experience in the country and still retaining some language skills, I've decided to go over to help with the flood of refugees who are fleeing the country. I'll mostly be working on the Polish border but will also be going into Ukraine as well. If you've noticed a disruption in the upload schedule lately, that's why. Getting this all together and arranging for an extended amount of time off of work has been pretty time consuming. And as much as I hate it, it's also going to mean a disruption in the normal schedule on the YouTube channel for the next several weeks. But there are people over there who need help. Some of them are people that I know and to whom I owe much for their role in helping us to get our kids.

All of that to say this: I realize that when you signed up to be patrons for this channel, there's an expectation of what is going to be provided in return. I don't know what the next several weeks will look like but it probably won't involve much of what you've come to expect from me. So if you decide to take a break from Patreon or withdraw altogether, please know that I won't have any hard feelings and will always be grateful for any support that you've shown.

Also, please be in prayer for me and my family. Obviously, the situation over there is a bit fluid and they're quite concerned even though I've assured them that I'll be ok. Being a man of faith, I firmly believe that there is nothing that is outside of God's control. Hopefully, we can do some good while we're over there for some people who have lost much.

As always, I appreciate you all more than you know.
