My interview with attorney Gloria Allred

I have always admired Gloria Allred. Even if I thought she’s been wrong on an occasion, she fights for her clients, especially women who are needing her counsel. I hope that Halyna’s family can receive a fair settlement for the loss of a daughter and sister. 🙏🏼💜

Shame on him and this industry. This is why they purchase insurance. However that does mean he should not hold any personal liability or apologize to all! He pulled the trigger! Just my opinion. I wonder if he would have approached this different with accountability and empathy, would he have been charged? It’s the death / injures and doubling down that makes it so difficult to excuse away as an accident.

I too share your sentiments. I also was raised, as everyone in my family, with guns. My father taught us to not kill anything we would not eat. All the safety and responsibility you spoke of to which I personally believe AB knew. He was careless in many areas. He refuses to take any responsibility for pulling the trigger on this gun. This gun did not shoot itself. This is where he made another enormous error. Best regards to you🌿

Lauren, that was such a great interview. Gloria Allred is fabulous. She nearly had me in tears, So apparently AB called Halyna’s husband. Not the rest of her family. I’d call that a lie where I come from. Ms. Allred is 100% correct. AB has to be held accountable. Our family is made up of responsible gun owners. We have all been trained to use and been around guns all our lives. We take our responsibility seriously. When AB was handed the gun, all he had to do was open the cylinder, spun it and would have noticed that one (or more) bullets were incorrect. He could have then questioned the use of them. That’s it. Halyna would be alive and Joel Souza wouldn’t have been injured. That was his responsibility as a gun user. Plus the fact that everyone who handles a firearm must never point a gun at another person unless they intend to use it for self defense. You must always assume that firearms are loaded with live ammunition. Always. He’s definitely responsible for killing Halyna and injuring Mr. Sousa, along with the armorers, in my opinion. Great job, Lauren 💎

Also, regarding NM deciding not to give the tax credit for Rust. $1.6 M. That seems to be what they were going to use to pay settlement with Halyna's husband. People at my dog park complaining that Alec was going to use our tax money for this settlement.
