The Rebekah Barsotti Case and HTC UDPATE

Hello! A new case has taken Hidden True Crime's attention the past couple of weeks, and we wanted you to be aware.

John and I have been in touch with, and speaking to,  Rebekah Barsotti's parents for months now. Rebekah was 33-years-old when she went missing on July 20th, 2021 (just over ten months ago). 

While Rebekah's mother, Angela Mastrovito, kept us apprised on her daughter's case, and shared with us her disappointment in law enforcement's lack of investigation,  we held off on reporting due to a private search and rescue team working with the family to find Rebekah, as well as a few other concerns.  We still have an interview with Rebekah's parents we never aired.

A couple of weeks ago a body was found. Our Patreon supporter and Rebekah's friend reached out to us, and we learned that the remains were likely Rebekah. 

Today we learned the body has been identified as missing Rebekah Barsotti and our love and thoughts go out to her family.

Since the body was discovered, we've had Rebekah's mom on our YouTube channel to give the very latest on the case, and two nights ago we had Rebekah's husband's former friend on our channel. He told Hidden True Crime he believes Rebekah was murdered by her husband--David Barsotti-- and that he has recordings to back up his claims.

Despite the evidence and concern from her parents, LE has always stated Rebekah's disappearance was an accidental drowning. They've never named a person of interest, nor ever opened a criminal investigation.

Tonight we will continue our investigation into Rebekah's death with Death Investigator Joseph Scott Morgan. While there is no known cause of death, we know a lot about the remains. It does not seem likely that the body has been in any river for ten months.
