Coming up on Wednesday Night: The Hidden Hour with Dr. John

Hello HTC crew! We are learning how to broadcast live on Patreon. I'm not sure if anyone will able to watch this live on Wednesday from this page, but either way, Dr. John and I will be live on our Hidden True Crime YouTube Channel that night with his analysis of Alex Cox during his police Interview.  If it doesn't air live onto Patreon, it will be live by clicking this video link (6 pacific. 7 mountain. 8 central. 9 eastern). If it does air live right here on Patreon, then we will check off one more thing on the How-To-Be-Tech-Savvy-In-2021-To-Do-List. We hope you join us wherever it might be!

Until then, more documents coming your way. Whew!

Coming up on Wednesday Night: The Hidden Hour with Dr. John

there were a few instances where I think he was trying to make an ironic joke. It reminded me of little boys showing off for their friends. Like the fist pump celebration. To me it came across as him just not reading the mood in the room at all, and trying to use his “comedy” to get them onside. From what I’ve seen his stand up routines rely on shock and discomfort or incongruity to generate laughs. I wonder how much that is a conscious creative decision and how much is just him telling tales from his life with his inappropriate or callous narrative style. Cheers up his friend with his deadpan humour? No pal, that’s just his actual reaction and you wrongly thought he was trying to make you laugh.

I don’t believe he died of natural causes either, and I think we’re in good company. In fact, I think he likely committed suicide somehow; and in doing so proved his faith in Chad and Lori’s doctrine. If there had ever been room for doubts, it surely would have been before he killed his own niece and nephew. One would hope, anyways.

This was very insightful. Thank you. His lack of emotion here is chilling… In Zulema’s interview she said at one point shortly before Alex died he said “I’m either a man of god or I’m not.” It’s the only account that shows that something in Alex started to doubt Lori before he died. I’ve also always wondered if he purposely missed when shooting at Tammy & Brandon. I feel like Alex did believe Lori 100% when he killed Charles and he must have to kill the kids. But I think the kids murder was hard on him. He had seen himself as a protector of Lori and her kids before that… I think after the kids he began to doubt, and the purposely misses Brandon & Tammy. Maybe as a warning, maybe because he had doubts. But he was right next to Tammy and he missed…. He supposedly was an expert. Then if Zulema’s plastic sheet theory is right, he doesn’t go through with her killing either. I just wonder were the misses possibly a small bit of conscience that was sparked from the trauma of killing the kids? If so, his “trust” rating must have gone down. Then Chad gave him that weird blessing where he says he’s supposed to die and come back beside Christ as a protector of children…. I think that is why he likely committed sucicide or was murdered. I still don’t believe that was natural causes.

I thought Tylee had the bat because "staying with Alex" meant she was often on her own when he made long-haul trucking stops.

One thing I keep wondering about is why the hell does a 15 year old living in a quiet Mormon enclave need a baseball bat in her room for protection? Wouldn't the police think that was unusual-like this is not a safe household?

I watched the live but I can't remember if this is where you mentioned there was some information that Lori was texting one of the Daybell daughters "early on" can you reveal what is meant by "Early on?" do we know what they were texting? Do we know if it was before Tammy's death or before the children's deaths? When is early on?

Cynthia Carter

Could the difference be because Tylee was alone in the room when you did your review and Alex has a police officer sitting across from him?

Im looking forward to Dr Johns analysis of Alex, I always learn so much.

Too funny (the tech part!) It may take a little time, but soon the "mysterious tech inner sanctum" will be conquered by you and Dr. John! Never fear! But seriously, I'm looking forward to hearing Alex Cox's interview with the police. Thank you and Dr. John for all of the hard work you both do to bring the HTC podcasts to us. Dr. John's in-depth analyses of the people involved is simply fascinating. I'm learning such a great deal about what makes people tick and their resulting behaviors. I can't wait for this next video! 🙂
