It was an anonymous email that was released on the internet very early on in the case. It was shared well before the media or law enforcement had released anything about zombies, portals, or other bizarre Daybell beliefs. It didn't seem believable, and was initially disregarded by many.
For those following the Daybell case from its origins, the infamous reddit email became a bit of a road map -a place where we would turn as information was released, where we would check off the factual stories and information it included. The reddit email quickly became a very revealing, eerily factual outline of bizarre events leading to multiple murders.
It was revealed by insiders that the reddit email stemmed from Melanie Gibb. Her friends had been taking notes--everything she shared with them was put into a document.
While there have been a few different versions of the email floating around the www, there are some never before heard lines that have been sent to us by a very reliable source.
The source, Anna, accepted an interview with Hidden True Crime, and we will share that early next week. She shares a fascinating inside look, an interview you won't want to miss, and she will share her knowledge about the email.
Until then, for our Patreon supporters only, we share Anna's unredacted version of the Reddit email. There are a few lines that are quite telling, and one line in particular was something we'd never heard before. (Do you know which line?)
Anna shared these unredacted lines with us before the Chandler evidence dump became public, and the new information from Chandler did what new evidence always does--prove the infamous reddit email to be an impressively factual piece of literature--including the new lines Anna has shared.

2022-01-23 09:56:59 +0000 UTCI don’t have the time to pull up the Chandler PD Melanie Gibb interview and re-listen to the thing, but when I did listen to it I got the impression that she and Lori were in the changing stalls/area (by where initiatories are done) when Melanie’s head started heating up, Lori got excited and said “it’s happening”, then did the laying on of hands thing. As I listened to the interview, in my minds eye I was picturing that event occurring quietly and discretely in a corner of the changing area or maybe even Lori stepping into a changing stall with Melanie to set her apart. The details of that occurring in a sealing room or the celestial room (with others present who could also feel Melanie’s hot head or the radiating heat) is a very different account.

I got the impression that Garth isn’t well liked. I wouldn’t b be at surprised if Garth starts to change toward his father because the only influence he now has comes from his wife’s family. The only variable is how much power Emma has to influence the family.

Maybe everybody is correct here; their spirits met before St. George, but their bodies met (ewwwwwww!) at St. George. Though if they had been married several times before, wouldn't their spirits already be quite well acquainted? Sigh. Looking for internal consistency in Lori's ever-changing fantasy life is frustrating.

Garth too (though I wonder; wasn't his mother-in-law on the list of possible GJ witnesses?). Maybe this will start to push the younger 3 into Aunt Samantha's camp.

I wonder how Chad's younger kids (NOT Emma or Garth) would feel if they knew they had been deemed zombies as well? Or will they choose to believe Chad when he refutes this account?

So, the proverbial shit was about to hit the fan for Chad and Lori’s liaison. Hopefully, this information is an indication that there is still a chance he’ll also be held accountable for conspiring to kill Charles.

The St. George conference was October 26, 2018 - October 27, 2018. Lori asked Chad to judge the “light” and “dark” spirits in her family members, so he already had info on her family.

He probably hit all the sites - white pages, mylife, maybe even some paid sites with background checks. He was obsessed from day one. He probably took what information he found (it's dang easy to find out things about people) and used it to convince her even more about his visionary "gifts." Mediums and psychics do this all the time. I believe St. George was their first meeting based on his loin fire story. Why would he send her that if they both knew full well they had met before St. George?

The second most compelling line to me was more about how it was phrased... "Melanie asked about (Tylee) and Lori said that Tylee had MOVED ON." That is a heck of a cryptic euphemism. I believe Melanie recounted this moment to Shari Dowdle on the secretly recorded phone call when Melanie asked about where Tylee was, Lori gave her a creepy, sort of “wink wink nudge nudge” look that made Melanie think that Tylee was dead. The third interesting tidbit to me is that Julie and Chad used a “seer stone” as well as a pendulum. Interesting since from what I understand, Julie considers herself the female counterpart to Joseph Smith, who also used a seer stone. And lastly, Melanie talks in her recorded interview with Gilbert PD about her head feeling like it was burning after some kind of spiritual blessing or gathering. I want to go back and compare this account of Lori ordaining her with the laying on of hands to be part of the 144K in the temple with the details she described in her interview.

Isn't it interesting how more elaborate the sealing story is in this email, vs what Chad wrote to Lori? No Moroni, no Jesus Christ as a witness. Makes me wonder was it Lori or Chad who shared the email version with Melanie? If it was Lori, then are we seeing the same event from different points of view? That would be fascinating if we are... Or is one the private story "love story" and the email version is the "public story" to establish themselves as leaders of 144,000? Why would Melanie even ask Chad about his relationship with two other women? What brings up that conversation? Has it been confirmed before that MG was part of 144,000 ( in their minds)? I know it's been speculated but not seen it in writing. That MG husband and kids went into hiding for Christmas is so sad, and not in one interview did MG ever mention the impact on her family just herself. That his kids were zombies is fascinating. If they were compliant about him marrying Lori, then they didn't need to die? Or did Alex die before he killed Chad's kids?

So it looks like they might have. Really sad. Tammy was onto Chad and Lori end of September. It makes me wonder if she ever saw Charles email or if she came to this conclusion on her own. Julie Rowe! She was doing the pendulum with Chad and a seer stone. Interesting. I never heard that in any JR groups. And she continues to ruin so many lives and families. I truly believe she was instrumental in Chudly going down this dark path. How Lori is able to ordain Melanie to the 144,000 in the celestial room is, wow. There is always a temple worker in there. Other people felt the heat? So they weren’t alone and in a group. Moroni giving up his sealing to Chad makes sense with everything Dr. John has said. Chad wants to elevate himself above Moroni to look important and good in Lori’s eyes. Mel Fibb knew Tylee was dead and JJ had become a zombie. I would like to think Melanie was trying to save JJ by giving Lori a reason to give him back to Kay. But Mel is so past feeling, so probably not. But makes me wonder. AND CHAD helped Lori change her mind about where JJ went, I’m sure. 😢

Melanie said in her interview with Chandler police that Jason Mow introduced she and Lori to each other. That is the first and only time I have heard Melanie say that. In her interview with Nate Eaton she talks about how she and Lori met, and does not mention Jason Mow. "In October 2018, Gibb was teaching an evening class at her Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building in Gilbert, Arizona. Lori Vallow was there, and the two did not know each other." "The two became instant friends and spoke about everything from religion to motherhood to everyday life. A few weeks later, they traveled together to St. George, Utah, for a conference where Chad was speaking and selling his books. October 26, 2018 - October 27, 2018. Lori immediately walked up to Chad, and the conversation became personal." 10/30/18 Chad emailed Lori a breakdown of light/dark ratings of her family members.<==== The is what leads me to believe that St. George was not Lori and Chad's first meeting. Who is lying and why?
