Need your feedback for my swatches!

What do you like about them? How do you use them, and for which situations? Have they helped you for a specific project, and if so, for what? Happy to listen to your thoughts :)

You are doing wonderful work here. As a graphic designer myself, I know it is very tedious and time consuming. I hope you are loving the process. The swatch charts are extremely helpful when sorting paint collections especially. I do wish there was some interactivity including the ability to turn paint manufacturers on/off. I understand that would be much more difficult and complicated to create, assuming you are creating these with Adobe InDesign. Perhaps you could allow for a designer/developer tier, an 'API fee' or a lifetime payment so technically inclined users could purchase your individual swatches to build their perfect sets. Online charts and mobile apps could be so much stronger with the data you've collected. Personally the only swatch set I think I am missing and would really love to see is a combined Vallejo Game and Model Color chart to help organize my collection.

2025-04-14 11:43:25 +0000 UTCFor “regular” paints, I mostly use the swatches for comparison across brands to see whether a suggested alternative would really work. I’ve used some apps that compare manufacturer swatches but find the actual paints don’t match the swatch. For contrast paints, in addition to the above, I like looking at the swatch to get a feel of how opaque the paints are. I echo others in that an easier way to “find similar” colours would be great. Smaller steps to improve the experience: allow searching by name e.g. make it a PDF, and also a side by side comparison
