This week I‘ve been traveling Singapore and there are quite a few tabletop & other nerdy locations to check out.
I started visiting the official Warhammer store, it‘s in a shopping street but quite hidden beneath a public staircase. It‘s rather small, and the shop owner wasn‘t very approachable, so I just asked for the free miniature of the month and left. Will paint the Hearthkyn Warrior for a tutorial when I‘m back home 🙂
Then I went to Suntec Mall, there are quite a few shops selling anime merchnin the upmost floors, bit my favourite shop was La Tendo. They have actually two shops opposed to each other, one is for anime merch while the other has a fantastic display of assembled Gunpla kits in the window, and also stocks Warhammer and hobby products. The amazing Archon was also photographed there. While I didn‘t purchase any models (Singapore prices are insane), I browsed the Gunpla and hobby section. They have Vallejo Mecha Color as well as Japanese scale modelling brands like Mr Hobby and Tamiya, and I bought a decal softener from Mr Hobby to see if its better than Microsol. I also bought nippers and a glass file from Chinese brand DSPIAE, of which I heard a lot of good things. As these are usually sent directly from China when you order them from ebay or Amazon, I saved the import customs fee, and when you sign up on La Tendos‘ website, you get 5% off most of their products. Pretty good deal.
Another amazing hobby outlet is Battle Bunker Bugis, which have everything from TCGs to board and tabletop games, all in English, but again, Singapore is a pricey city, so it might be more feasible to buy things at home.
Hope you‘re all good and enjoyed this little hobby travelling log, next week I‘m back to business!
